Essie Loves The Poppy-Razzi!!
By LaurrElizabeth on March 31, 2012 1 Comment

As you all probably know, Essie is my absolute favorite nail polish brand out there as far as colors go! They have SO many shades and variations of colors, and they always know what's trendy. Essie's Summer collection is one of the first collections that I have really loved in a long time. The theme is Poppy-Razzi, and everything is bold and bright! The main line on the display/ad (above) says, "I travel incognito, but always bring poppy-razzi!" Then it says, "Wherever you go, take poppy-razzi. My newest, non-stop neons are so on-trend, your nails will look fabulous in a flash!" I love it! … [click to continue…]

Sexy Sandals For Spring!
By LaurrElizabeth on March 29, 2012 4 Comments

Now that we have our feet back in tip top shape (see last post "Prep Your Piggies") it is time to whip out the sandals! When it comes to shoes there is no shortage of sandals out there. Step into Macy's shoe department and you will surely be overwhelmed. Warmer weather is like heaven for a shoeaholic, and you're sure to find sandals in every style, color and shape possible. While that might be a good thing at times, it can be really hard to pick the perfect pair (or pairs) for you. Here are some of my favorite sandal styles that fall in line with some of this season's hottest trends! … [click to continue…]

Prep Your Piggies!
By LaurrElizabeth on March 28, 2012 1 Comment

Well, ladies...it's sandal time! At least where I live it is, and if it isn't for you it will be very very soon! This past week I have really dug out all my sandals and spring attire to wear. Then it hit me; my feet are disgusting! After being harbored up in closed shoes for the past several months they are looking ROUGH! I generally keep my toes painted year round, but as I look at my feet right now, yikes! The polish is half chipped on every toe, and lets not even talk about the calluses and dry skin left over from winter. You can always go get a pedicure at your local spa or salon, but I … [click to continue…]

New York City Haul!
By LaurrElizabeth on March 26, 2012 Leave a Comment

The majority of you probably saw my previous posts about going to NYC, but if not: last week I went to New York City to do some shopping and visit colleges that I am interested in. It was super fun, but I'm so glad to be home! I came back with a good amount of loot of course. Mainly drugstore products actually, which is really abnormal for me, but they're still fun! Here's a little look at some of the products that I picked out during the trip! There are MAC stores on every corner in NYC! It's makeup junkie heaven, that's for sure. The first MAC purchase I made was this MAC … [click to continue…]

Scents for Spring!
By LaurrElizabeth on March 24, 2012 5 Comments

Our wardrobes generally change with the seasons, but what about our perfumes? I have really built up my fragrance collection over the past year, and I have a nice variety of scents and strengths. Now that spring is here I am switching out the perfumes I use on a daily basis to lighter fruity and floral scents. Some of my favorite perfumes are heavy on the musk and spice notes, but they just don't fit well for warm sunny days. Here are some of my favorite fragrances for the new season! Clinique Happy has been one of my go-to perfumes for as long as I can remember. Well, for as … [click to continue…]

Makeup Show LA 2012
By Annelle on March 22, 2012 Leave a Comment

The Makeup Show LA was held in Los Angeles last weekend, on March 17-18. The Makeup Show is a "Pro only" makeup trades how that is held internationally every year. It's a fabulous place for makeup professionals to come and learn from the seminars and hands-on workshops, and of course shop the floor! Many booths were showcasing brand new merchandise, and a few were even showing merchandise that hasn't even officially launched yet! How exciting for those who were able to go home with products that won't even hit the stores until this summer...And, of course MakeupTalk was there to bring … [click to continue…]

Spring Style- Crop Tops!
By LaurrElizabeth on March 20, 2012 Leave a Comment

The days of showing some skin are back, ladies! Bare midriffs made an appearance last summer and the tops are only getting shorter and shorter. Miley Cyrus bared her belly as she walked the red carpet with her boyfriend Liam at the The Hunger Games Premier last week. From what I have read, most people either loved or hated this look. I personally am a fan. I don't think it's too revealing, and it's really unique. Not only did I like her outfit, but I LOVED her hair and makeup, very natural and gorgeous...but that's for another post and another time. As the temperatures rise will your tops … [click to continue…]

Beauty On The Go!
By LaurrElizabeth on March 18, 2012 Leave a Comment

I am slowly but surely packing for my trip to New York City on Tuesday morning. We will be there for a week, so I have quite a bit of stuff to bring. Not to mention the fact that I am an obsessive over-packer, and bring a million different outfits for all possible situations. If I took all the beauty stuff I felt like I needed, it would take up a whole suitcase of its own. This time around I have cut myself back to the bare minimum to save room. I am also carrying the suitcase on the plane with me, so no liquids over 4 ounces! Being a product junkie makes both tasks extremely difficult, so I … [click to continue…]

Snatch Up A Satchel!
By LaurrElizabeth on March 16, 2012 2 Comments

With so many purses and bags out there it can be really hard to know what trends to follow and what works best for you. There are several aspects that make up a perfect handbag for me. For one, it needs to be practical. Everything should fit inside nicely and somewhat neatly (my organization skills aren't the best!). The bag also needs to be comfortable to carry around during long days of shopping. Despite all other intentions and needs the look of the bag always comes first! It HAS to be stylish and fashionable. Structured satchels encompass everything I want in a purse. They are very popular … [click to continue…]

Be A Bronzed Beauty!
By LaurrElizabeth on March 15, 2012 4 Comments

Spring is here and it's heating up...the weather that is. This past week I have been able to start breaking out little dresses and capri pants. Don't get me wrong, I am totally thrilled, but my snow white body is not! I do not frequent the tanning bed due to being an awful worrywart and the fear of getting skin cancer. So I'm about as white as it gets! In the winter I actually enjoy being a little pasty. There are lots of cool makeup looks that us pale skinned ladies can really pull off during the colder months. Now that it's mid March that isn't quite true anymore. I'm ready to be tanned, but … [click to continue…]

Beyond A Teen’s Basic Black & White….
By SassyAuburn on March 14, 2012 Leave a Comment

Today, my daughter has a concert at school. It is one of the last ones we'll see as she will be graduating in just a few months. To keep the kids looking classy and not out-of-sorts, the school has always required a dress code for concerts: black bottoms and white classy top. I reinforce the term classy because you’d be surprised what teens think is appropriate for a concert for all ages. Geesh. My closet is a rectangular example of a black and white movie set. I love the colors, I love the colors together and I love to accessorize a black and white outfit with a pop of color or … [click to continue…]

Favorite Fashion Trends of 2012!
By LaurrElizabeth on March 12, 2012 4 Comments

Fashion is a constantly changing aspect of our world. Fashion designers deal with a fine line between introducing new and innovative creations and overstepping what the everyday wearer wants to see. There are oodles of money to be made in the fashion industry, but that only holds true when you go about it the right way and produce items that the world would actually wear. Fashion Star is a TV show that will be debuting on Tuesday, March 13th 9:30/8:30c. It has an incredible idea behind it, and as viewers we will get to see firsthand what works and what flops in the fashion world around us! … [click to continue…]
