China Glaze has set three exciting collections for Spring 2011. In addition to the previously covered Anchors Away collection, they are also releasing Tronica, a holographic polish collection, and Crackle Glaze, a collection of crackle polishes. Here’s the scoop:
Tronica Collection
This limited edition collection consists of 12 holographic shades:
Techno Teal – Turquoise Holographic
Virtual Violet – Violet Holographic
Electra Magnenta – Magenta Holographic
Gamer Glam – Purple Holographic
High Def - Blue Holographic
Hologram - Silver Holographic
Hyper Haute – Rasberry Holographic
3D Fantasy – Peachy Pink Holographic
Digital Dawn – Dusty Rose Holographic
Cyberspace – Taupe Holographic
Mega Bite – Gold Holographic
Laser Lime – Lime Green Holographic
I finally had the opportunity to see these in person. I went to CosmoProf – just to look, since I do not have a license to purchase there. My goal was to, once and for all, see for myself how strong the holo in these are. My disappointment was renewed, unfortunately. I know I will still get a couple when I am able to purchase them, but I guess I was hoping for strong holos like the OMGs and Kaleidescopes in new, interesting colors. Even re-promotes would have made me happy because I missed out on a few shades from those collections. With that said, I can’t deny that they are still beautiful polishes. The fine holographic shimmer in the adds a lot of dimension to the shades.
As I stated, the Tronica collection has been released, but only at CosmoProf, to the best of my knowledge. Tronica will only be available to the general public via Sally Beauty Supply, which is reported to release them in March. I am not sure if the popular e-tailers will be selling these, but I sure hope so.
Crackle Glaze Collection
China Glaze is also releasing the Crackle Glaze collection this season. Crackle polish is specially formulated to crack as it dries, creating a fun design. I remember having so much fun with my old Cover Girl crackle polishes, even though they were a pain to work with. However, the current crackle polishes on the market are said to have a much better formula. Crackle polishes seem to be popping up a lot lately in various brands, but mostly in just black and white. Fortunately, China Glaze is releasing 6 fun crackle shades:
Black Mesh: (black crackle)
Lightening Bolt: (white crackle)
Broken Hearted: (pink crackle)
Cracked Concrete: (grey crackle)
Crushed Candy: (teal crackle)
Fault Line: (purple crackle)
I am most excited about the teal crackle! I already have a million colors I’d like to layer it over! This collection definitely isn’t for everyone, but I am glad they did it anyway. Crackle polishes seem to be a polarizing topic – you either hate it or love it. I love it!
Crackle Glaze is set to be released January – February 2011. I have contacted e-tailers, like TransDesign and Head2ToeBeauty, and they have both stated they will get the collections in at the end of this month.
China Glaze has an awesome lineup for Spring. They are releasing something for everyone! Anchors Away brings the soft, calming (while still being interesting) shades, while Tronica and Crackle Glaze bring the fun, bright side of Spring. Perfect.

It’s up in our top navigation bar. (RSS Feed)
Great colors. I wish more of these releases would include swatches. I like seeing what the colors look like on actual nails.
THANK YOU for actually using proper grammar. Most sites were absolute nonsense…
Others require a code to be entered at the checkout stage. Basically, it’s just a case of shopping online as you otherwise would, and applying the discount to your order to make your saving.
Well said! This was a really quality post. In theory I’d like to write like this too – taking time and real effort to make a good article… but what can I say… I procrastinate alot and never seem to get something done. this is the one that I like the most. So expecting some more ideas from you. Thanks !
