This Sunday, stars will strut up and down the red carpet at the 2012 Primetime Emmy Awards Ceremony. As a lover of beauty and all things fashionable, I can’t wait to see who strikes gold – and who strikes out! To prepare, let’s look at some of the best Emmy looks in recent years.
“The Office” star made bows seem mature and chic with this stunning Zuhair Murad gown. The print and accent could have been overwhelming had she not paired the dress with a sleek up-do and understated accessories and makeup. Her fresh-faced look really stood out back in 2007.
The always fabulous Brooke Shields proved that pink isn’t just for little girls. Her dress was stunning, but her flushed cheeks and glamorous waves pulled the look together. Her black nails stood as a great contrast to the girly feel of her fuchsia gown. (If you need good ideas for dark polishes, check out the 2012 fall polish guide!)
Considered one of the best new stars of Hollywood, Mila Kunis proved her sense of style in this gorgeous Monique Lhuillier ensemble. Her perfect ponytail showed off her flattering facial structure and gave this look a sleek sheen.
Although she may play a ditzy blonde on the hit show “Glee,” Heather Morris clearly isn’t dumb when it comes to fashion sense! Her sparkly Ina Soltani dress looked gorgeous with her golden loose waves. The red lipstick was also a good choice, as it added a pop of color without being too much. Want to get similar loose curls? It’s a bit of risk, but Gwyneth Paltrow stole the show at last year’s Emmys with this Emilio Pucci gown. The midriff baring dress was unique when compared to the long, flowing gowns of other star, and her stick-straight hair added to her bohemian-vibe. Not everyone can pull it off, but this star sure did!
I’m really looking forward to seeing the gorgeous and imitation-worthy looks of my favorite celebrities this weekend. What about you? What were some of your favorite looks from Emmys past?
