Hi guys, my 6month old has started eating solids now and I wanted to know different recipes that you might have prepared for your little one??

I have already started him on mashed banana, avacado and wheatbix for breakfast.... does anyone have any suggestions on recipes for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks I should give him?

Thanks :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Yogurt, mashed potatoes ... If your up to it you could throw some cooked chicken in a food processor to your/his desired consistency

My kids are all double digit ages now but I used to give them smashed avocado mixed with breast milk/formula, smashed roasted pumpkin or you can buy canned pumpkin (make sure it is plain pumpkin and not pumpkin pie filling), pureed cooked beans, pureed cooked plain chicken, pureed pears, pureed mangos. If stuff isn't pureeing as well as it should just add breast milk or water. Just a few I can remember.

Thanks for your rsponses guys!

Yesterday I made him some steamed mashed pumpkin, spinach, carrot and sweet potato and he loved it!

I will try with chicken tonight :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

My kids loved all the puree foods! Using banana and avocado is great but cooked carrots and peas is also quite good. My kids really enjoyed a chia seed pudding that is incredibly beneficial for their GI tract. I use Tempt milk which is made from hemp seed, Chia seeds and a little Xylitol for sweetener. You can use any nut milk and sweetener you prefer. I also eat it because it tastes so good. I use 5 tablespoons of Chia, 1 1/2 cups of milk and a few sprinkles of Xylitol.

My baby just turned 7 months yesterday and we have started him on meat for the last 2 weeks which he loves! This past weekend we did ground beef (we grind it ourselves...terrified of pink slime lol) and blended it with garlic, basil and sage, and pureed carrots..He loves it!!! He also loves scrambled eggs (although you're *not* suppose to give them egg whites yet) and he likes the yolk part of the boiled egg bc it's so easy to mash with his gums. I'm excited to experiment more :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Wow I didnt know you can give them eggs at that age! How much and how many times a day do you feed your baby?? Thanks for the replies :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

My pedi said between 6-8 months of age you can introduce meat and egg yolk..it's totally up to your comfort level though.  I will admit my husband scrambled a whole egg and there were no reactions to it.  We try to give him solids at last 2 times a day..we can't always manage 3 with LO napping a lot in his growth spurt periods lol.  He will usually eat about 1/2 a cup or half of a pouch during a sitting..if he really likes something it maybe be closer to 3/4 of a cup.  It's getting challenging though..We try to add herbs to flavor his food but I guess our food looks better to him lol.. we don't feed him off our plates and he still gets upset or tries to pull my plate toward him to get my food
