So today i decided to clean my whole house from the entrance to the last corner of the house.

I don't clean everyday, but i do small chores around the house like daily wash the dishes because im too lazy to put them in the dish washer (i hate it), i just arrange the living room in case someone comes over unexpectedly and thats about it....

I have already vacuumed the sitting room hall way and dinning room now i'm about to wipe the dust, Dust is a major problem here you wipe it in the morning by nightfall its already back were it was and the funny thing is i don't leave the windows open...

then after that i got to mop the floors.....

How do you clean your house and make it easier for your self?

Yes im done....well at least with half the house, the other half can wait till tomorrow :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

And i just discovered this really cool thing, i can wash my walls and the paint does not wear off....

In the hall way there were finger prints on every wall because of everyone touching the wall wen taking their shoes off but now its supper clean like i just painted the wall, im super happy about that :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I hate giving up hours on end to clean my house so I worked up a schedule of small chores to do every day in order to keep my weekends and evenings free. For example, I do a load of laundry every morning. I vacumn the carpets MWF and then each room has its own day (Mon = Living room, Dining room, Tuesday = Master Bedroom and Bathroom, Wed = Kitchen, Friday = Sewing room and Patio)

I dont do anything on Thursdays cause I usually have meetings I have to go into the office for (II generally work from home) but I am able to wrangle things in on those 4 days. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I do laundry everyday around 3 washing machines a day and wash the dishes everyday. otherwise i take one day or 2 days of my week and clean the entire house (4 bedrooms 4 bathrooms living and dining room kitchen and 2 balconies) and i iron what is necessary only...

You know when you live in Kenya as white person (not being racist) you must have a house girl to do your cleaning otherwise your neighbors and friends will laugh at you, because they (majority) believe that a white person should not clean, they should have people who do that for them....

I'm going to be honest with you i do have someone who does come to clean but she comes only once a week and she does only the major work like wash the windows or the carpets, all the small chores i do myself...

Pancua let me ask you, doesnt it get tiring to clean almost every morning? like i sayd i choose one day or two to clean then the rest of the week the house is clean :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Nope, I do not find it tiring. I find it more of a hassle to spend hours on it than breaking it up into an hour a day and then not having to worry about it on the weekends.

I need to make up a system for breaking it down. I have some health issues, and it makes it so hard. I do dishes daily and laundry when needed, usually every other day or whatever. Depends on whether I just do one load in a day, or do a few. Also, we have a small house, and I find it hard to de-clutter, which of coure makes cleaning harder when you have too much stuff in each room. I am really wanting to organize somehow.

How does everyone go about storing things like books, cd's, craft supplies, bills/office stuff, if you have a small home? I so badly need to figure something out. I am starting to see the value of those Kindles and ipads and things where you can do books right on there - then you don't have to find room to store them. Although I still think there are some books I'd like to have in hard copy, but so many could be contained in this one little electronic devise, even magazines. I should look into getting something like that sometime.

Funny how some people like to take a day or two to do all the cleaing, and some like to break it up. I have to break it up because I don't have the energy or strength to do it all in a day or two. I wish I did. But my worst issue is clutter.  :s

It would really depend on what your floorplan is. Some off the top of my head suggestions is to glean through your books, cds and DVDs. Donate anything you no longer want/will read. I know that is harder to say than it is too do but in the end you will gain so much more space back. For those you do keep, build floor to ceiling bookshelves. Most ppl forget they can still build up when they can no longer build out.

Sort your crafts by genre, yarn with yarn, thread with thread and then put all of these into baskets/totes and label those totes clearly.

Just some ideas I use.

I like to clean the house every day if I could but sometimes I dont have time because of my baby. Breastfeeding takes too much of my day! Before I had my baby I had a routine happening, I would do room by room... which means I would start with one room, clean it all (dust, wipe, vaccum - the lot!) and then when I finish it I would close the door so I know its done... its like a countdown until I finish all the rooms in the house :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> I always leave the kitchen till last because I hate cleaning it the most lol... now my dear husband cleans the house most of the time and he also has the same routine going on!

Building bookshelves is a great idea. I really do think that could fit into the living room a little. I never really thought of that.

How old is your baby? I remember those early days. It did seem like my daughter was constantly nursing. I hear it gets easier, so hang in there. I had to stop at about 8 weeks. I just wasn't able to produce enough for her needs. I am happy to have at least have been able to for a while, but I really wanted to be able to do it for her whole first year. Good luck and enjoy your little one! My "baby" is now almost a teen!  /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />  It really flies by.

I do every other day, It's just me hubby at home and you'd be surprised how much of a mess 2 people can make :/

I do laundry, keep the living room floor picked up (my son vacuums every couple days), and do the dishes daily.  I hate clutter, so I'm always stuffing papers in drawers, or throwing junk away (including toys).  If it remains on my table for more than a day, I toss it.  I have a housecleaning service come about once a month to do the major cleaning.  It's too difficult for me to keep up with our big family, so I'm unable to do all of it and handle everything else.  I actually have the housecleaners coming tomorrow morning, so I'm really looking fwd to it- my house needs it.

Laundry pretty much everyday, with ironing following the next days, we just hate when dirty laundry is waiting to be done, so as soon as we gather enough clothes, they get washed. Dishes are in the dishwasher, it runs everyday, once a day, we only wash by hand the pans to avoid premature use of the coating inside, we can't do everything on our own as we have eczema issues.

Washing the floor, dusts, the bathroom, two times per week, when needed for the kitchen, toilets are washed almost everyday.

The hardest is washing the kitchen sink, hard water is a pain to deal with, the leftovers are very hard to get rid of, hot vinegar seems to help as well as rubbing alcohol, but nothing major.

i do it One time for a week, i am very lazy to clean.
