I know Sephora hosts special events in NYC all the time, so I figured it would be good to start one ongoing thread for it.

Post the deets as you find out about them!

I called this afternoon and have a Skincare appt tomorrow at the Sephora by my office.  I'm taking my husband out to dinner tomorrow night and then we're going to Book of Mormon so the makeup application will come in handy!

Thanks for posting!

Awesome!! Hope you two have fun! :) I'm super jealous, I really want to see Book of Mormon but the tickets are atrociously expensive... I also have an appointment for the one at 86th & Lex tomorrow. Definitely looking forward to it. Though, this is the first time I'm going to one of these, so I'm a little worried -- how pushy are they afterwards to get you to buy the stuff they used? I definitely shouldn't spend any more money on beauty products until I know for sure whether or not I'm getting this new job...

I splurged on The Book of Mormon tix  for our 5 yr anniv.  Bought them in January for Sept.  This show is so ridiculously popular and sold out!  I'm excited.

Sephora is usually pretty good about not giving you the hard sell though.  Either way, don't let them bully you!!

Fingers crossed on the new job!!

in case anyone is interested, this is what i got in the bags they were giving away:

it's unfortunate (for me) that three of the seven are anti-aging products, considering the fact that my skin still believes i'm a hormonal teenager, but who am i to complain :)

Good Afternoon ladies!

Stopped by the IQ Skin Care event during my lunch. It was very cool!  I got my face cleansed then toned and then moisturized then concealed and a added glow of bronze and blush. Plus the awesome FREE BAG of SAMPLES!!!

Here are some photos of what I got.

The products they used on me were:

First Aid beauty cleanser pads (cleanser, toner)   <--Loved

Caudalie cream for dark cirlces

Skin Transformer all in one (concealer, moisturizer)  <---Loved

Didn't see the bronzer

Josie Moran Blush

Oh, it was so much fun!  I got the same stuff as above and a ziploc bag of sachets too.  The sample sizes they gave are huge!

Jazbot, I like your idea about listing the products they used.  Here are mine:

Ole Henriksen makeup remover wipes (Love these and they smell just like the serum from the Sept GB--bought a pack for my upcoming trip!)

Fresh Soy Face Cleanser

Bliss Triple Oxygen Instant Energizing Mask (it's fizzy.  I had the triple oxygen facial at the Bliss Spa once, and this feels as good and faster!)

Shiseido toner (don't remember which one)

Caudalie Vinosource SOS Thirst Quencking Serum

Caudalie Premier Cru Eye Cream

Clinique BB Cream

Hey, if you're coming to the make-up swap in Oct, I'm sure you'll have takers for those items!

Hmm... the store that I went to didn't actually do the 'makeover' or use any of the products they were recommending. They basically just demoed the "fancy" touchscreen system and gave me one small sample of an eye cream to try in addition to the goodie bag. And it wasn't like they were in a hurry because there were other people waiting; in fact, there was almost no one else in the store. I almost thought they weren't even going to give me the goodie bag because they didn't for the lady who had gone before me, but they did at the end, I guess because I had mentioned that I had called and made an appointment. I don't know why I have such bad luck with these things... :( And I'm with Amidea, the samples are nice (very nicely-sized!) but fairly useless to me as I don't really need anti-aging products yet. Guess I now have even more stuff to put up for trade.

Yesterday I went to the event at 42nd and Madison Sephora, and all they had was the touchscreen demo. Not giving up, I signed up immediately for another appointment at the 5th Ave. Sephora for today, hoping they would have more, and they did! It was great. Here is what they used:

fresh soy face cleanser

boscia nose strip

fresh umbrian lay mask

fresh rosewater toner

ole henrikson eye gel

fresh umbrian mattifying serum

fresh umbrian face lotion

diorshow bb cream

Now that I have 2 sample bags, I'm thinking of either bringing one to the makeup swap or doing a giveaway on my new blog.
