So I'm 115 right now. I would like to weigh 120 but not gain fat. I need to gain weight in muscle and be toned and slim. The weight I have right now it mostly just body fat and I even have a chubby face in the works. I don't like that I have to be careful when taking pictures now because my face looks chubby and the whole double chin is not flattering. Any advice?

Are you playing any sports? Sports tends to build up your muscles, burn fat and allow you to gain weight via building those muscles. When my daughter did track (she's been disqualified to continue due to a heart condition) she lost a lot of baby fat and put on muscle weight.

No, I'm not in school anymore so I really haven't played any sports. Another problem I have is when I workout I break out on my back. Even though I shower right away when I'm done. So I'm not sure what to do about that.

Have you tried yoga or pilates? I think pilates would be a great workout for your goals...its geared towards flexibility and building muscle strength.

I tend to disagree - you can workout any time if the day and get the same benefits

Try drinking a lot more water. It will help the general hydration of your body, and will also have positive effects on your skin and hair.

don't wary if you are  doing some exercise then you will definitely loss weight, like me.

i would suggest that you find something that you enjoy doing and do it, you could do anything from pilates, swimming, dancing, running, cycling etc.

with regard to the break outs on the back since you are showering straight away i think it is nothing to worry about and i would expect it to clear back up once your body gets use to the new exercise routine.

P90x is great for toning up! see if you have a friend that has a copy. the workouts are tough. when I did it, I only lost about 4 pounds, but I gained tons of muscle! I lost quite a few inches on various parts of my body, but didn't lose much weight, so I lost a lot of fat and gained muscle. I was in such great shape after!

I don't think your face looks chubby, however; it only matters what you think. Have you tried any topical fat burning products like "Cutting Gel by Novex Biotech"? Have you tried wrapping your face (or chin area) with an ace bandage when working out? Apply the cutting gel before wrapping and you will see results in due time.

Try tabata, using your own body weight for exercises to gain muscle. You can add those extra 5 pounds in no time, with just muscle toning.

I'm not sure what to tell you about your back breaking out when you sweat- y'know, when I re-started exercising after I recovered from my back injury, I remember my face broke out a bit, but after that initial period of time it cleared right up. Maybe just give it some time, and I suppose you could also use acne-cleanser made for the body (although I don't see why you couldn't just use a face wash made for acne treatment on your back)

If you want to gain weight in muscle, you are going to have to engage in some type of exercise, plain and simple. And muscle gain takes A LOT of time, especially since you are female. Thems the breaks, chica.

Working out any time is fine- just so long as you do it! Not everyone can do a 5AM workout, and that's just fine! You need to figure out what you want though- do you want visible or large/bulky (for a lady)/visible muscle mass? (Body building/ weight training) do you want lean muscle gain? (Pilates is amazing! + cardio) Do you want lean gains + endurance abilities? (Track/running/cycling). These things all come with dietary requirements too (you can't let yourself gorge on junk food as a "reward", basically- good luck trying to out-train a bad diet!)- and if you've got fat to lose, well, you're gonna have to watch your calories.

If you just want what people consider general "toning", to be a bit stronger and a little less jiggly, well, I highly suggest finding something you find fun! This could be dancing, biking, whatever gets that heart rate up and your butt off that couch! If it's something you like to do, it won't be such a chore. Much luck to you on your fitness journey!
