Please feel free to add any questions or discussion regarding Round 4!! I will try to check this board at least once a day so I can answer any questions. Looking forward to the swap!

I was interested in joining the swap and I think your drugstore/higher end thing is fair to keep the balance, but I feel like the actual brand assignment was pretty arbitrary. I don't want to rock the boat since I'm sure it worked fine last time, but I mean, what makes ChG a "high end" brand and Orly a drugstore brand, when they're both on sale at Sally, and Orly is actually more expensive there? And the difference between Sinful Colors/Wet n' Wild ($2) and N!OPI ($8) is the price of at least a whole new drugstore polish. And about Nailtini, that Ipsy hands out, which says on its website has MSRV of $13, which would make it 'high end'.

I understand there's no way to please everyone, so I'm mostly trying to understand the logic behind the assignments...

Hi Kyuu, Thanks for the input. The list was kind of hashed out prior to the last round but I'm happy to make changes. To be honest, I put Orly in the drugstore category because I can buy it at my local CVS. I actually struggled a little with what category to put Color Club, NOPI, and Square Hue in. I know there are plenty others I've missed...totally forgot about Bondi!! Probably the best solution would be to do a quick poll just after signups are finished to get a group consensus about the polish categories, among the people who have signed up. We would love to have you join us, the swaps have been fun and a great group of ladies participate!

I have a question...it says one mini is worth 2 polishes?  Does that mean I get too polishes for one mini or have to put in two polishes for one mini.  And why isn't one mini just worth one normal size polish?  This part confuses me.

Sorry the wording was mixed up! 2 mini polishes will be equal to one regular sized polish. Trying to make the sizes as equal as possible is all. Of course if you only want to take 1 mini and put in a full size polish, no one would complain. It's up to you!!

A poll sound like a good idea. I think "drugstore brand" is an outdated term. I can get Essie at Walgreens and Rite Aid, and I get OPI at Fred Meyer (Kroger).

I agree.  I'm just as happy to have a nice Nicole OPI as I am to have a Butter London...especially since most of the Butter London formulas suck lol.  Just because it's expensive, it isn't necessarily better.  I still haven't found a black to beat wet n wild.

In the end it's about quality and for some people, it's just the name of the brand that appeals.

When we swap in and out do we have to put unused polishes in or is it okay if they are swatched/used once?

It is perfectly ok to put in swatched/lightly used polishes but we do ask that you label them as such.

My two year old just found my "colors".

I am so excited I finally have some trade feedback so I can participate in these box swaps! I am wondering how  this works though. Do you just get the box once or does it go through the list multiple times? Also, about how much does it cost to ship the box of polishes? Sorry if these are silly questions, but this is all new to me!

Welcome to the swap! Not silly questions at all! On the previous rounds the box went through the list once but last round we did things a bit differently. We had so many participants that we ended up with two boxes; once each box had gone to everyone in that list we switched boxes and started over again. So basically we had two rounds in one. When I sent the box I sent 10 polishes in a medium size Priority Mail so I think it was around $11.

So excited for this! I applied a few days ago. When do we know if we are selected? This is my first time doing something like this! :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Another question: 2 mini polishes equal 1 full-size polish, but can we trade one mini polish for another mini? I'm drowning in minis I have no intention to use (thanks, Birchbox).

Yes, you can do a one mini swap. And I've sent you a PM re: your sign up DerpyDerp (love that name!)

So bummed that I missed the sign up period for this box! Do you know about how long you expect the round to go before you open it up again?

Ladies, I am on vacation in the Carribean until 9/24 and will answer all questions about start up then.

Hopefully this round will go faster than the last one. I've been waiting since February for a new round to start.
