IMATS Toronto 2013

There was a lot of brush and eyelash booths this year compared to last year. Once again the main complaint among us pro MUA's was that there was no Pro only day. A new complaint was that the vendors didn't give out any receipts, I guess this was to speed up the line ups, which makes total sense. The ones that did, as per request, wrote it on a back if a business card or pamphlet. Well... this will all go away when Toronto gets a Pro Day like the other IMATS cites. The great thing was catching up with all the set gossip with other Pros I've worked with (and not worked with, at least this year). And oh, new from OCC was their creme coloured concentrate, you can use it on eyes, lips, face and body, reminded me of MUFE's Flash Palette.

Yes I did. (I got razzed big time by my colleagues because it was such a light haul... Compared to theirs) I got a Beauty So Clean refill, Ben Nye lip liner in Really Red, Eve Pearl duo concealer in fair/light, Face to Face anti shine in light, and a lip brush from Morphe. Yeah, not too much...

I talked to Michael about that at IMATS LA and he said it's in the works but this year there wouldn't be. Hopefully next year there will be a Pro Day. I'm surprised about the receipts since it IS a trade show and most, those that take credit cards via Square or Paypal, are able to e-send one to your email address. Did you get a chance to stop off at Frends and talk to Matt?

Yeah, I remember you telling me that last year, I reiterated that to my colleagues that that was the plan for next year. Funny enough, Square had a booth set up there, but I didn't see any wireless debit / interac pos machines at any booths... Go figure. And yes I did introduce myself to Matt, he was like, "oh, ok..." When I mention you and MuT... He chuckled, in a good and cool way. He was very nice. His was the only booth that was enjoying champagne and Doritos... Lol

Yeah, he seems very down-to-earth, PR work is right up his alley that's for sure, lol.
