Hello, I haven't ever been great with makeup but recently  I have decided to give it another go. I understand eye makeup pretty well but I need help with face products so I'm asking for your help.

What brands or kinds of foundations are good for medium coverage? Every foundation or BB cream I have tried is either too light (coverage wise) and/or emphasizes any skin imperfection. How to get the perfect shade too? (I either get it too light or too dark). Finally,  I need one that doesn't smear onto glasses.

Even better foundation by clinique is a great moderate coverage foundation and it doesn't budge!

Also go to a beauty advisor at a department store they are trained and you can try on as much as you want.

The first thing you need to do is determine your skin type (oily, dry, combo, normal). Then find out your under tone (yellow, pink, red) and find out which colour ranges you should go for. Just make sure to test it out the colour on your jaw line close to the neck to get a best colour match. Most people test out the colour on the back of their hand which is a common mistake people do.

If you like medium coverage foundations here are some suggestions:

Make Up Forever HD Foundation

Neutrogena Healthy Skin

Revlon Nearly Naked

Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua

Nars Sheer Matte/or Glow

With foundation apply an even layer on and if you have any blemishes just cover them up with concealer. If you're oily set your face with a translucent/coloured powder. Foundation is always build-able so make sure you don't apply too much or else you can run into your makeup looking cakey and smearing off.

Have you tried MAC StudioFix Powder Foundation? Use it dry with a brush, you can build the coverage.

The only BB creams I like  are Dr Jart's or Skin79

I like Bare Minerals foundation. They have a great selection of skin colors and the coverage goes smoothly on the skin and covers all imperfections.
