Beach Waves and Retro Swimwear

Ipsy and Marc Anthony are doing a giveaway on Instagram where you post up your beachwaves. I thought I'd take it to the next level and do an impromptu photo shoot with my cute retro swimsuit and sunhat! Wish I had a better backdrop. I'm in the process of building a light tent to take pictures of my looks, but for the moment bounce lighting off the ceiling and a sheet over my door had to do.

• Eyes: Elizabeth Arden Eyeshadow Pallete in Moonbean, Cameo, and Gilded Sand, Jessie's Girl Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner, Clinique Lash Doubling Mascara, Cherimoya Fireworks Mascara
• Cheeks: e.l.f. Contouring Blush & Bronzer
• Lips: LUSH Emotional Brilliance Lipstick in Ambition
• Hair: Oscar Blandi Hair Lift Volumizing Mousse, Oscar Blandi Volumizing and Texturizing Spray, Marc Anthony Dream Waves Beach Spray, Lots of Scrunching and a Touch of Teasing.
• Clothing: Forgot where I got the Swimsuit.... But the hat was from Dollar Tree!

It's my favorite red lipstick ever. LUSH's Emotional Brilliance line is fab. Literally the highest quality lipstick I've ever used. It's got great color payload, stays on FOREVER,  and is cruelty free with natural ingredients. 

I managed to snag mine during a sale when they were buy one get one free. Paying $22 for one lipstick makes me cry. Paying 11 for one is much more reasonable... until you do it twice which is exactly what I did lol.

Oh yeah, I know where you're coming from. Now more than ever since having my son and everything I am less willing to spend ridiculous amounts on "just a lipstick" or "just eye shadow" it just seems wrong lol... but who could pass a deal like that up? I will definitely look into that lipstick and wait for the right time to get my hands on it /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I am going to take that inspiration and just look fab on the beach this summer, instead of swimming around in shirt like a nerd that I used to.

@@Shalott I used to really hate my hair when I was younger. I was convinced it was gross and frizzy because I didn't know how to take care of it and wanted bone-straight hair. I cut it all off in high school and rocked the pixie until my second year of college. I loved my pixie cuts, don't get me wrong, but now that I know how to take care of my curly mane I've never loved my hair more! I've been growing it out for two years now, and I plan to keep going. /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

@@MrsShaw Yeah, they're incredible lipsticks. They also do eyeshadow and eyeliner in the same line. I've never tried the eyeshadows, but I have their gold eyeliner in Fantasy and it's beautiful. Kind of burns, but from my experience shimmery eyeliners just do that. -shrug-

Yay! The beach is meant for glam. Where else can you rock the cutest swimsuit, a giant hat, and huge stylish sunglasses. The public pool? Nowhere near as fierce. I don't really like to swim in the ocean anyway. Just too much sand in too many... places... The beach is for lounging in the sun and playing my 3DS in my book.
