I'm curious to find out who else gets boxes that aren't cosmetics, clothes or lifestyle boxes like PSMH or Nina Garcia. I'll start!

I was getting Loot Crate for 2 months, but I've been underwhelmed, so they got the big ol'boot after June's box. (Was hoping for some Game of Thrones, comic book, True Blood, etc. items. Transformers, meh.)

I got my first KitNipBox last month and it got a resounding three paws up from my cats. The new kitten especially loves the rainbow ribbon toy. The kitty bow tie will be saved for Christmas photos, I think. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I actually have been contemplating Loot Crate, but mostly because of the spoiler I found.

But, I have noticed their boxes have been underwhelming lately. Not sure if it's worth the gamble... I have looked into Nerd Block too. I just wish they had more specific boxes to order, like fantasy block (that could of Lord of the Rings, True Blood, and Game of Thrones type stuff), a time traveller box (with Dr Who, Back to the Future, Sliders, Quantum Leap type stuff), gamer boxes, and super hero boxes. But I guess then I would be broke!

But as of yet, I haven't forayed out of the beauty boxes (Popsugar, Rainbow Honey, and The Soap Box). =)

I got For the Makers for seven months. I love crafts, but a lot of craft subs are geared towards kids or families. I liked For the Makers because their projects were a bit more sophisticated. But they kept sending things I couldn't use, so I'd make maybe half the items. They send earrings a lot, and my ears aren't pierced. I did find some alternate uses for the supplies, but it wasn't worth it. Also, the projects started to repeat after a while.

KitNipBox looks really cute! My cat would probably love that.

I would love the multi-genre idea. I was so underwhelmed by the two I got. I kinda wish I could buy a few of the old ones I've seen listed on their site. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I keep wanting to sub to PopSugar, but I find it's about 50-50 hit-miss for me judging from the posts about the boxes.

Yeah, I noticed that about craft subs. A lot of the jewelry projects are things I would never wear. I'd prefer an inexpensive box that sent you more varied supplies rather than projects, based on what crafts you prefer, or something like that.

I just got this month's KitNipBox, photo below. This is the 'Happy Cat' box, which is $19.99:

I did For the Makers for a while. I liked it, but agree with @@MoiSurtout that the projects tended to repeat themselves (mostly jewelry). I too would find myself only making half of the projects so I dropped it.

I have had a sub to Darby Smart since December and a sub to WhimseyBox since May and I have only received one jewelry project between the two, which I very much appreciate! Although I sometimes have a hard time fitting the projects into my home decor, I always enjoy the process of making them.

I did cat boxes for a while but stopped because I only need so many bags/tins of catnip around. My cats tended to be too picky for all the different types of treats too so I ended up passing a lot of stuff along to other cat owners in the family.

One type of box that I really enjoy are the meal boxes. I have only tried Hello Fresh, but I really like the concept mostly because I am not creative enough to think of different things for dinner and I hate going to the grocery store! The ingredients for each meal come packaged in their own separate bag (at least for the vegetarian box) so I love just going to the fridge and pulling out one bag that has everything I need. I guess I could go out and buy everything I need for the recipes myself, but I like having the smaller portioned items so things don't go bad because I never got around to making a second batch.

On the same note, I have always wanted to try Julibox, but the requirement of signing on delivery is a pain. I just think it would be a great way to try different drinks that I would then want to buy the full sized product to make again.

Fantasy or even an anime block would be amazing. I am subscribed to Loot Crate because I play games/watch anime/cartoons, like Adventure Time, but I'm not really into the mainstream stuff, like Transformers, that they put into the box. Sigh. XD I don't think it is targeted to those who like mainstream American gaming/"geek" movies and stuff. And I say "mainstream" because I'm into like, quirky Japanese RPGs and anime, so... I unsubscribed, but I have a 3 month sub. Argh.

I'd be so happy if there were some anime or fantasy block, though.

I got Lootcrate last month because of the cool Adventure Time stuff in the previous month. I hated the June box. It was awful. Every single item was either Transformers themed or some sort of freebie promotional item for Major League Gaming, which, to me, has zero value. The t-shirt was a hideous shade of red-orange and they didn't even send out women's shirts. Just men's sizes. The sleeves are enormous on me and nearly reach my elbows! I got two toys, a t-shirt I won't wear, and a bunch of promotional junk. Never again. :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> Nerdblock looked way better.

Boxychan has 1 time themed mystery boxes, like fantasy, sci-fi, anime, etc. it's no loot crate/nerdblock but it's at least themed.

I sub to kitnipbox, okashi connection, and kawaii box to get my non-makeup fix. I had darbysmart but wasn't impressed at all.

Betoyo Bento has some cute anime stuff! But it's really expensive, about 38 a month with shipping (it ships from Japan).

What animes do you like? I love all things Ghibli, Sailor Moon, Tenchi Muyo, Mahoromatic, Azumanga Daioh, Fruit Basket, Bleach, and Negima. Pretty much anything with some comedy intermixed!

I get Charleston Epicurean, which is a new box that features food and artisanal goods from around Charleston and South Carolina in general (Charleston is one of my favorite cities). I'd like to try more of these "best of a certain place" boxes, because it's like a fun little vacation in a box!

That's a great idea! Wonder what other cities have them

I get Qbox (see my latest post in the Qbox thread) and Graze :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I tried Love with Food and Treasurepack Scarves (3 scarves) but for $12 and $15 per month respectively I did not think they were worth it; too small products (LwF) and shipping issues (TS)

Does anyone get Splendies? It's an underwear subscription (which sounds kind of crazy), but I was thinking of trying it.

I get Loot Crate.  Well, my husband gets Loot Crate.  He's loved all of them and wears the T shirts, too.  I thought July's was dumb but he really liked it and has asked me to frame the prints they sent so he can put them in the game room.

Not sure what to do with the comic book.  Maybe I should frame that, too. Hehe.

I also have received Peach Dish and Plated dinner subscriptions.  I prefer Peach Dish because it's so easy to skip.  Plated has too many vegetarian meals (a vegetarian would LOVE Plated!).

I get Barkbox for the dogs and have been very happy with it.  I just signed up for Petbox, as well.  My first one comes tomorrow.  Petbox does cat boxes!

I also get Wantable Intimates which I LOVELOVELOVELOVE!  Seriously.  The fact that you can arrange your profile each month to get completely different items and it actually means something is so perfect.  My undies drawer has never looked so good and my pajamas are stylin' now!

I did get Treatsie (not enough value and very limited variety), Taste Trunk (not worth it, barely worth the price you pay for it), and Urthbox (loved it!! if you are on a limited diet, check it out).

Orangebox is also a dessert box and not worth the price ($21).

Hm..... what else.. Oh, Fabletics!  Is that fashion?  I like their workout gear and the fact you can skip whenever you want.  I find their clothing is sturdily and thoughtfully made.

Homegrown Collective!!  Best box EVER!  If you are crafty or into eco-friendly, sustainable living type stuff, Homegrown Collective is amazing!  They send you everything you need to make your own... whatevers.  I've made my own lipbalm, lotion, sunscreen (yes, real sunscreen!!), infused olive oil and balsamic vinegar, foot soaks, CHEESE (I made it all by myself!!), natural bug spray, homemade ketchup and mustard (!!) and all this reminds me than my next one should get here today!  It's $40 so its on the more expensive side but they send you literally everything you need except the kitchen sink!  And it is so fun to make this stuff.  Great for kids, too.

Love With Food is the best healthy snack food sub box out there in my opinion.  It's cheap and has at least 8 things in it that are either natural, organic or gluten free.

I've tried two tea subscriptions, Tea Sparrow and Steepster.  I like Tea Sparrow better because it's cheaper and the bags are resealable and you get more. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Wow, I'm a little out of control with my boxes... >.<

I gave up after the Transformers box. I need to regift that to someone, I think. LootCrate looked a lot cooler a year ago, if you look back at the history. I was pretty underwhelmed by it when I subbed.

As for the prints/comic: sure, why NOT frame the comic? You could even spread it open to a particularly nice set of pages and frame it that way. It'd be a fun way to display it. #dweebdecor101 :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
