Hi ladies! I know it's a ways away, but for Halloween me and my husband are going as an old hollywood black and white couple. I'm wondering if anyone here has done this, and can help me out? I need my grey base, and honestly have no idea what to do. I'm looking for something that's going to go on flawlessly and stay PUT, as I can't think of anything worse than constantly having to reapply. I've seen a few options, I think the most promising being the Aquacolor wet makeup. Just wondering if anyone has used this, or has any other suggestions?

Also, a good black wash out hair color (that WILL wash out immediately) our hair is already dark brown.

Thanks ladies!

I would suggest Ben Nye Clown White mixed with various amounts of black to create a range of greys for your base, highlights and contours. This way you control the depth of color False eyelashes will be a must for you along with a sultry deep grey or black lip.

For the black you can crush up black matte eyeshadow, grind with a mortar and pestle until you have finely ground black. If you can find loose black matte pigment that would work. You can also find tubes of black Halloween makeup, any will work.

I had the same costume three years ago, and it was so fun to do! I used Ben Nye's Magicolor Liquid Paint in grey with great success. It made a great base, and I used my regular makeup in black, white, and gray hues to help give it some dimension. One thing I'd recommend is doing a trial run with the makeup to get familiar with it. Depending on how much you're covering, it can be a little time consuming to do on the same day as your event.

Turned out fabulous!! Loved it!
