'a new subscription box for lovers of Scandinavian housewares' – $50/month

There are some sample boxes, and a $15 code from MSA: MSA-SEPT

Polyvore shows some items labeled October 2014, so I wonder if that means it's what's in the first box?

Apparently the person running it is a law clerk who used to own a clothing shop. (LinkedIn

I signed up with the code, since it's nice to see an actual home-themed box that probably won't include udder jugs or wall decals. It's easier to part with $35 than $50 though, so this box would really have to impress me.

My box arrived today!

It contained a pair of cups, wooden tongs, a wooden diamond-shaped box and a ceramic box with a wooden lid.

Full spoilers are on MSA:

The quality of everything is very nice; it may even be one of my favourite boxes. I like the curation; all the items are either ceramic or the same shade of wood. The value is really good too; it's an $85 value for $50, and the retail prices didn't seem as inflated as with some other subs. Also, it shipped priority!

I've unsubscribed though and am not sure about keeping it. You have to email to cancel, so it would be hard to just pick up a random box now and then, which is what I'd lean towards doing. A spoiler or a good deal on a three-month sub might change my mind though.

I literally just found out about this one yesterday! Didn't even look into it cause I thought it was going to be based in Europe but I think it turns out it's from San Francisco. I like the lady who started it her story is pretty cool. And she was in the New York Times so kudos to her. Looks well worth the value

I have a couple friends who do Scandicrush and for the most part they like what they've received. Definitely good quality items.

this one looks good. I might have to get this one to try. I love everything Scandinavian since I was born and raised there. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
I knew your name seemed familiar! I usually don't blurt it out in person but I'm always really good at home in my head guessing where people come from. I don't know whether it's silly or point of pride but it's kind of fun! I'm just a major travel, country history, cultural anthropology addict :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
