Hi girls

I have a serious problem with dry/sensitive hair. I'm trying to grow it a bit longer, but it always ends up in a mess and then I have to cut it.

My hairdresser has told me to use this and that product to protect it, but it doesn't seem to help.

I'm using a blow dryer to dry it, but think I have to stop doing that as I suspect that it is a part of the problem.

So my question goes: How do you dry your hair when you have to get out the door and just took a shower, without using a hair dryer?

Obviously, I have tried with towels, but they seem to get soaked instantly.

Any help is truly appreciated :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Hey !

I completely understand where you are coming from !

Have you tried using the 'cool' mode on your blow dryer?

It will help a lot.

Try reducing the use of heat tools and use a heat protecton.

Also use a comb to brush out your hair (usually can get them anywhere)

Hope this helps :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Well mankind existed, with hair, thousands of years before blowdryers :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> Do all your showering and stuff at night, let your hair air dry. Healthiest thing for hair is to choose a wash and wear style that doesn't require any heat application at all.

I have (kinda ridiculously) long hair and I second the nighttime shower as a solution to blow drying. As a bonus, it seems to add a bit of body since your roots get some lift. A microfiber turban is another option-seems to wick the wetness out better than towel-drying.

Sorry ladies I think perhaps it may be the hair dryer that may be at fault.   I have a super Karmin Salon Series Ultralight Professional Ionic Hair Dryer.  The ceramic heating unit provides the benefits of heating evenly and not getting too hot.

The electronic ion generator when switched to green = negative ions = makes hair drying faster
Flip the switch to blue = positive ions = this increases shine and if you finish off using the cool shot button it will help eliminate frizz and flyaways.

It has a diffuser so the heat is dispersed over an area not channeled to one point.
Weight : approx 12 ozs - very light so no arm ache should you have long, thick hair

Dual voltage so it can be used worldwide

I think a simple solution would be to take a shawer at night and just use your towel to dry your hair. Then in the morning you can use your blowdryer just to finish the drying.

Most hair dryers have various heat settings so maybe try using the coolest one? I never really use heat in my hair, I'm personally a big fan of washing my hair in the evening towel drying and letting it air drying for a bit and then sleeping on it. When I wake up my hair has this great beachy look to it.

I like to wash my hair at night and let it air dry to quicken my heat tool usage in the morning. If your hair is very dry and sensitive, I suggest you let your hair air dry as well as using argan oil before going to bed. By dealing with the dryness, you will see less damage to your hair, believe me. The oil helps moisturize and adds shine as well! You will see a huge difference if you make sure you buy 100% argan oil (not those drugstore ones that have a bunch of ingredients mixed in to cut their costs), Just apply it to dry or wet hair, comb or brush through and you're done. My go to argan oil is EVAO by ISA Professional, it's Pure Argan Oil and it leaves my hair and skin sooo soft! Let me know how it goes!
