So I went to order a Dr Jart little set with my points and got exited when it said underneath "ships free" but when I went to check out I'm still being charged $5 for S&H... maybe i'm missing something somewhere but if it is labeled as ships free wouldn't you think that you get free shipping?

I guess there is a minimum amount to get the free shipping on some products...but they don't specify what that limit is?  From their FAQ:

What is your shipping policy? Do you offer free shipping? We know you love your samples, so we want to make it easy for you to order full-size versions. Every month, the products sampled in that month's batch of Birchboxes ship for free (minimum order quantity conditions may apply to some products).

I just added the dr. Brandt "get glowing" kit, which is $20 just to see what happened it said, "ships free" under it, but then when it was in my cart it said "add $30 more to get free shipping" I tried to click on the "ships free" but I couldn't. That certainly seems misleading to me, are you an Ace by any chance?

I'm an Ace and I just tried that kit and it said "you've qualified for free shipping" as it always does, since I've been an Ace. It makes no sense that it says "Ships Free" then wants you to make a 50 dollar purchase to get the free shipping...because that's the amount for free shipping on anything, not just things from the current month.

I'd contact them about that, it's ridiculous!

I already sent them an email asking what the deal is but I haven't heard back yet. In the big grand scheme of things its really not that big of a deal to pay a couple extra bucks since I would only owe $3 but still. Its really just misleading to label it that way.

I think the amount is $10. If you order anything $10 or under, not free shipping even if you're an ACE. However, when I ordered a product for $10.50, it gave me the free shipping...hmmmm. I think they changed this recently and haven't updated their site maybe?
