Currently the Innocent+Twisted Alchemy (I+TA) subscription is currently on hiatus until January, but I wanted to start a thread for discussion! I probably look forward to this one the least out of all the indie subscriptions I'm subscribed to, but if you are looking for matte indie shadows, this is definitely the sub for you! I think the other thing about it, is I never understand the theme each month. But I will continue to subscribe because some of the extras are from companies I've never heard of before, but loved the sample!

 
I'm tempted by this one and I like that there's a sample sized option, but then again the colors I've seen don't seem as unique as some others and there do seem to be a lot of mattes, which I rarely use.  I might try to snag a sub to try it for a month or two.

 
I totally agree that this is the one I least look forward to, but it's not that I'm not looking forward to it.  This more like...  The themes tend to be anime/manga-inspired/oriented, and that's not my thing, so I'm not OMG IS IT HERE YET? like I am with the Vanishing Cabinet and its Parade of Media Sources Found at Comic Con (and Mainly San Diego CC), which is *totally* my thing.  And it's probably the main reason I've embraced NM now that I've acquired almost the entire GDE catalog!

It seems like there was only one month where there were nothing but mattes, but I recall that they're usually super sparkly.  I'm too lazy to go dig them out and double-check right now, but I specifically remember being surprised at the matte month because the other months had been very much not matte and heavy on shimmer and glitter.

 
I love the i+ta sub but I haven't noticed a whole lot of mattes? Only one month that I can recall, but then I also haven't been subbed as long as some of y'all. Regardless, I thought that the matte shades I got in this sub were better than the mattes I purchased from NM, and I use them a lot more. I think they blend easier.

I'm also a giant manga/anime nerd so that is great for me, where I have to admit, a lot of the themes that focus more on geek culture/horror/comic books are just not my cup of tea. But then again, for the most part I am not trying to make a collection based on the themes, I just want all the pretties.

So, I guess for me personally, I don't have a favorite. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I've only been subscribed for 2 months but the shades were mostly mattes. Or at least more mattes than I've ever received from any other indie sub (which is to say 0) so it seems like a lot I guess.
 
I've been using one of the August shadows a lot recently, it's the glitteriest black I have, so for sure it's not all matte!

I already have more indie eyeshadow than I can possibly use, but I'm still excited for this to start back up.  She also does an excellent job of putting together little bonus samples from other indies :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Omg, that is my favorite shadow ever. Favorite month ever!! This is still my favorite-I love sparkly and while I don't understand the theme, great shadows and samples!

 
Ooh, I woke up to a charge for the January bag!  This is always the month I hope for icy, sparkly blues because those are just *January* to me. 

 
Mine should be here today!  I'm going to wait until it gets here to go run errands.  I just need kitty litter and katfud, so I have to wait until after 10am anyway for the latter, so I might as well wait until the mail arrives since it tends to show up around that time anyway.

 
I'm supposed to get mine today, but the tracking seems to be behind.  Also, I was supposed to get my Midnight Gypsy perfume samples yesterday, and the tracking still shows them sitting at my local post office.  I think my PO is taking a vacation after the holiday rush, everything so far in 2015 has been a few days behind :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

 
Uh...  WHAT IS THIS MAGIC?  First, what is apparently supposed to be bad news:  There were some extras from other companies that didn't arrive in time.  They will be in next month's bag.  I think that she sent two items from her own company in their place.  More info on that -- in particular the aspect that makes me NOT CARE ONE SINGLE BIT that the extras-from-other-companies didn't arrive -- after the photo.  No swatches right now because I am highly caffeinated with extremely shaky hands.  The theme is Mystic & Divine, inspired by the song "Mystic and Divine" from the album _The Infinite Wonders of Creation_ (I have no clue what that is, but it's what's on the information sheet).  I received the mini version.  These used to come in clamshells, but she's switching to 3g jars for the mini sub as of this month (the i+ta non-sub samples she sent this month are still in clamshells.  I don't really care which I receive -- clamshells or jars -- as long as they're not baggies).  Spoiler for length!

Officially, the sub is supposed to include three new exclusive shades plus extras, but I seem to recall receiving *four* in the past two or three bags, and that happened again this month.  Top to bottom (all descriptions are based on jar color.  i+ta shadows frequently reveal another tone/shift upon application or pressure, but I need to give the coffee a few hours to work its way out of my system before I can swatch):

  • Majestic Life -- sparkly sparkly medium-light brown
  • Ilusionary Stars -- deep sparkly midnight blue.  It looks black in the photo, but it's blue.
  • Breathtaking Wonders -- gah, *so* gorgeous.  Sparkly chocolate-pink, if that makes sense.
  • Splendor of Life -- sparkly greenish-gray
Yup, as is standard, lots and lots of sparkles.

Sample clamshells:

  • S.U.R.V.I.V.E. (form the Live or Die collection, based on the movie _Saw_) -- Cement gray (like wet cement) that has a violet duochrome (per i+ta's own description.  In my living room, it looks brown, not gray, but it could just be the lighting).  I love horror movies!  I want to eventually get this whole collection in clamshells.  This isn't one of the colors I would have picked, but since it's form the LoD collection, I'm happy to have it (and now that I have it from my sub bag, I don't have to spend actual money on it!).  I think this one will vary, both in terms of the shade and what collection it's from.  It's not specifically listed on the sheet aside from "from my own line."
  • Wintertide -- ARE YOU SERIOUS?  This is probably *the* item I was most bummed about missing out on from the AFK advent calendar since i didn't get it.  Super thrilled about this!  Sparkly minty blue?  It is *mine*.  And it is very much a January color to me.  *So* excited.  This alone more than makes up for the other extras that didn't arrive in time.  I think everyone gets this one since she does state that she was sending a shade from the advent calender, and I think that's the only one she did for it.

Samples from other companies (colors on the extras-from-other-companies tend to vary in the sub bags, but these are what I received):

  • Beauty for the Win shadow in Amsterdam (coppery-pink?  It's a beautiful sunset-ish shade!)
  • Victorian Disco Cosmetics in Sailor Saturn (cobalt blue with a pink sheen, I think)
  • Mad Lab Cosmetics in Copper (what it says on the tin)

The little flyer is adorable.  It was a long strip -- like half of a legal sheet of paper -- for a good chunk of last year, and this time, it's like a little greeting card (still on regular paper, not card stock) slightly larger than a credit card with a big version of the lid art on the front and all of the text about the collection and contents on the inside this time.  So far, this is my second-favorite sub collection of the month behind Aromaleigh Ephemera!  (The full-face aspect of Ephemera is pushing it to the top this month.  Yeah, Hello Waffle Visage is full-face, too, but I don't think I like those colors as much as i+ta, especially since WINTERTIDE!  GDE OTM may still win out overall once it arrives, though.)

 
Very cute!  I'm glad I randomly signed up when there were a few available.  I don't believe I've received my tracking yet though.  

 
Mine will be delayed, I think, because I had to have her switch stuff around due to my stupid PayPal issues (ugh I hope these will be resolved later this month otherwise I might tear my hair out) but I love the way the sub looks! I currently have a full size, but I might see if I can sign up for the mini version and cancel the full size if she has switched to mini jars permanently! Especially since it looks like they still have artwork? Wonderful! :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I didn't even think to look in my junk folder, but there's nothing there. I only see the emails from PayPal saying I set up reoccurring payments.
