I've been a long-time Lush fanatic, but I'm frustrated with a few things. I used to order from the UK site, since it was cheaper for many items, even with shipping and currency conversions. But, they've upped shipping to purposely discourage US residents from doing this.Stories about poor treatment of employees have been making their rounds on the Internet too. I'm disappointed in Lush despite their philanthropic endeavors and I would rather support Indie companies. I found an IMAM thread but no exhaustive list of just Lush products.

tl;dr: Who makes Lush dupes? Let's list them with the brand, the product name, and the dupe name.

Kiss My Sass- Rose Gelee /Lush- Rose Jam

Kiss My Sass- Amplified/Lush- Avobath

Kiss My Sass- Honey Bunny/Lush- Honey I Washed the Kids

Kiss My Sass- Rockstarlette/Lush- Rockstar

Scents I'm looking for dupes of (preferably perfume oil, shower gel, body butter, or lotion.  Pretty much anything other than bar soap since I can't use that stuff any more!):

  • Magi Musk (this was a soap and perfume oil, although I only ever tried the soap)
  • Skinny Dip
  • Ibiza Party shampoo
  • Ching Ling Soo (this was a bath bomb)
These were all discontinued years ago (none of the employees at my local shops are even aware that any of these ever even existed), so I can't even order them at a jacked-up price from Lush UK!

I'd like to find anything with the these fragrances:

-Alkmaar / Silky Underwear

-Ghost / Lily Savon

-Figs & Leaves

I'd also pay obscene amounts of money for a body lotion that smelled like Ceridwen's Cauldron.

I'd like to find a dusting powder similar to Silky Underwear - the scent doesn't need to be the same (I actually don't love it) but the cocoa butter bits in it are really great and it's my favorite one I've tried.

There are quite a few tea tree toners on Etsy and I intend to try one of them soon. Anyone tried any of these? Or know of any other dupes for the Tea Tree Water?

I know Retro Creams Perfumes on etsy (https://www.etsy.com/shop/RetroCreamsPerfume?ref=l2-shopheader-name) makes a "Honey I Shrunk The Kids"- guess what it's a dupe of?- but only in body butters and perfume sticks.

But, if you etsy search "Lush dupe" you CAN find a lot of dupes in both that scent and Karma.

I'd like to find a Silky Underwear dupe, too, and a bath bomb that is as extravagant, or close. Lush is just SO pricey, but for me they're almost TOO scented (especially for my skin). I mostly want the pretty colors and moisturizing content of Lush's bath products.

Sucreabeille on etsy seems to have a ton of Lush dupes.  She also has the solid lotion / massage bars.  The scent list goes on forever.      I think I'll place an order and try it out.  Sadly I didn't see any listing for Silky Underwear, but something that piqued my interest just as much was an aroma oil called Calm the F*** Down.  I need that.  Immediately.

I can tell you with confidence that Queen Bee Apothecary (Etsy) has an Alkmaar dupe for several different types of items. Under their About listing, you'll find an exhaustive list of scents, including many Lush dupes. I haven't tried their version of Alkmaar, but I've tried their Karma and Avobath (Avobomb?) dupes and they are incredibly true to the real scents and very long lasting.

Has anyone made their own?  It doesn't look too hard.  If I wasn't on this 100 day no buy I'd be all over ordering stuff to try lol.  THIS could easily become my reward for making it to the end.

There are so many bath bombs on etsy.  I found one that makes nail polish scented products.  And burnt rubber!  Not that I want to try these, but I found that shop very interesting.

I haven't, but I can't tell you how many times I wish I could or would.  I'd love something for cold symptoms.  Something with tea tree oil, eucalyptus, or something along those lines to help me or the kids breathe.

I don't think I would make my own stuff just due to how much stuff you have to buy in bulk. I feel like I couldn't use a whole bulk item up before it would go bad, lol.

@@Kimb3rly I have been wanting to try these "shower bombs" that seem like they work like Vicks in the shower: http://levelnaturals.com/shop/shower-bomb-4-pack/
That's exactly what I'm talking about.  I used to be able to buy the shower soothers, but they were discontinued because geniuses ate them (think McDonalds hot coffee lawsuit).  Walmart and CVS sell a brand, but they don't work.

Actually, the McDonalds lawsuit was totally legit and has been turned into urban legend for some reason.

:D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />  Don't mind me, I'm just a nerd. I hate that that case has been turned into the face of every frivolous case in the US (but I get your point. Eating the shower soother things? PEOPLE. WHY?)

lol  Exactly!  I know someone who eats Vick's and is convinced that that's the way it's most effective.  She swears by a half teaspoon of Vick's for a cold.  I don't even know what to say.  She's yet to end up in a hospital because of it.

Anyway, yeah...I don't understand the people eating the shower soothers.  I guess they sort of resembled large Alka-Seltzer tabs?  People confound me sometimes.

MY HERO. Off to drool over Rose Jelly and Marzipan  <3

Reminds me of when people were trying to get the Tide detergent pods taken off of shelves because they thought kids would think they were candy and try to eat them. Um, how about not keeping laundry detergent within reach of kids not old/reasonable enough to understand that they shouldn't eat them? Sigh...
