So, Beauty Rooms are becoming all the rage.  If you have the space, its trendy now for women to have their "private" area... you know, like the man cave, but for women and prettier (and brighter). :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

My cousin has a spare bedroom in her tiny house.  The rooms are small and the closets even smaller.  The spare bedroom didn't even have a closet...  She rarely used the room and she asked me to help her create a "beauty" room.  This isnt the only room I helped create, but this is the MOST economical one and the one I am most proud of because it was soo thrify and fun to shop for.

We did some research, compared prices, scoured tag sales and craigslist and this is the final result.  Meanwhile, its taken about a year to get to this point, but when you're on a budget, every little purchase counts.

Second hand beauty room.

Most of the main furniture is Ikea's dark brown office items.

Desk - $30 Craigslist

Billy Bookcase w/Doors - $30 each

Billy Bookcase (no door) - $20

Square bookcase - $70

Brass Mirror - $3.00

Large Make up pictures - Gifts bought at Home Goods (retails for $25 each)

Boutique hooks - $1.00 each at Dollar General

Coat rack - Free (tag sale)

Jewelry armoire - $30

Night table - free (tag sale left over item)

Chairs are from dinning room (not normally in here)

Under the black cloth is an Ikea Klingsbo display case - $30

Do you have a beauty room?? If so, share your pics!!!  I would love to see them!

Love the idea of a beauty room! Thanks for posting! I don't have one but would love to some day.

Cute!! I would love to have one, whenever I eventually have the money to move out of my parents' house I'll definitely have to make a beauty room/space.

At first I thought this thread was about Brands opening up Beauty Rooms just like MAC has done in NYC, (by appointment only). It looks like a salon but for make-up application.
