Has anyone tried Le Tote yet? A clothing and accessory service. It's $49 a month

I tried it early last year. You fill out a style profile then look through their offerings and mark items you like for your "closet". They then send you a tote of 5 items (if I remember correctly) which you can wear to your heart's content then send back in the prepaid mailer they include. As soon as they receive your previous tote return, they ship out another, so you could receive several each month. If there are any pieces you want to keep, just don't send those back and they will charge your credit card for the listed price. It's sort of a "rental clothing grab-bag" service, so if you want to never wear the same thing twice (and not have to launder things) it might be your thing. Unfortunately, I cancelled after about 2 months (receiving a tote just about every week: it was easy since I opened each box, tried everything on, packed it all up, sent it all back). I did not ONCE receive ONE SINGLE ITEM from my "closet", and despite feedback through their website and email exchanges with a company rep, they continued to send me super-short, body-con, sheer items that were completely inappropriate for my age and clothing interests. I'm sure many women have great luck with Le Tote, and it's a unique service (rent without having to buy, essentially) but I found it not useful for me. If you try it, I hope it works for you!

Thanks so much for the feedback!!! Doesn't sound like a service for me. At my age I can't wear anything that is too short or skimpy or sheer. :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20"> It sounds like it would be more work than worth for me. I'm too busy as it is so returning boxes and getting new ones constantly wouldn't work for me. I know a few friends who love Stitchfix but I don't think that one is for me either. Thanks again for your input!

While Le Tote was not for me, I have been happily using StitchFix since March 2014, so it is possible for these services to work even for... more "mature" women like me.

I've been thinking about trying Stitchfix because my friends like it and I keep hearing great things. I'm just hesitant because of the price range of the items. I'm worried that the pieces of clothing they send will be too expensive for me.

I have a problem of spending too much money for skin care and makeup and not enough for clothing. I know I'm crazy.
