I received a couple boxes today. I decided to share one that made me smile. New England Sack sends item from New England every month. I've received a variety of items from food, beauty products to greeting cards and signs. This month's theme is Spring in Maine. I put the pictures behind the spoiler tags because they are large.

This comes in a brown box with their logo imprinted on it. Some of the items are in a sack. I didn't take a separate picture of the salt. That was a nice surprise to have.

I love to garden, plus it's fun to receive socks.

IMG_0338.JPG

Stonewall Kitchen! Blueberries! I freeze our blueberries, but never have enough to make jam.

IMG_0339.JPG

The whoopie pie is the first thing I pulled out. I love whoopie pies although people in my area seem to think they should be called gobs. I forgot how New Englanders love to say wicked - ex. This is wicked good. I cut a small piece off to taste it. Delicious.

Johnny's Selected Seeds! I order seeds and supplies from them for the farm. They are an employee own company and the people are nice.  I received branching sunflowers and acorn squash. Perfect for the garden.

Next month's theme is Mother's Day. Two artisan spoilers are Vermont Natural Whipping Queen and Goatboy Soaps. I also received a coupon code in my box to share. It's not an affiliate code or linked to me. Coupon Code is MOTHERS5 to save $5.00 of any length of subscription.

I've enjoyed my New England Sacks! I got three and then I decided it was a little too much food for me but I can totally see myself subscribing again.

@@Saffyra I'm glad that you liked them. I received all of them except for the Connecticut Breakfast Sack.

Here is the May's Mother's Day in New England! Sack

The background is the actual sack. You can see the logo on the bottom right-hand corner.

I received:

1. I received a set of 4 Flowers of New England Note Card Set from Wonderful Life Farm. You can see 2 in the back of the picture. I also received in the past the Fall New England note card set from the same company which I sent out last year. Everyone loved them!

2. Vermont Natural Whipping Cream Maple Syrup Scrub. The packaging is beautiful. I love the scent.

3. Deborah Ann's Sweet shoppe - It has nuts on it :( One is milk and one is dark chocolate. They smell chocolatey. This will go to my husband because I hate nuts.

4. Goat Boy Soap Sake Kasu Facial Soap - It must be a popular mode. We received a lotion soap in a similar mold from a different box. It's pretty,

5. Hot Glass Works - This has been in a previous box before. My 6 year old son is excited that it is a turtle so it worked out perfectly for us.

My favorite item is the scrub. Maple syrup :D

More pictures behind the spoiler tag.

Deborah Ann's Chocolates. Smells yummy.

Maple Syrup Scrub

Beautiful packaging.

Spatula included, You can smell the maple syrup :)

IMG_0442.JPG

I don't see myself adding hand model to my resume. The left side is the scrub. The right side is how it looks rubbed in.

IMG_0448.JPG

Beautiful face soap. I may add in another picture to show how the mold is similar to the lotion soap. My camera battery needs to recharge. This is the best picture I was able to take of the soap.

I held this near a candle so you can see it better. The sun occasionally visits where I live. My 6 year old can't wait for me to put it in his window.

I didn't include individual pictures of the cards because I wasn't sure about trademarks etc. There are 2 that you can see in the back of the main picture.

@@MET The owner included a handwritten note with a discount code for $5.00 off any length of sub. It's Fathers5.

@@Reija Thank You.

@@Cupcakes It smells delicious. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> I was yearning for a maple candy while smelling it.

My husband said the candies reminded him of a Heath bar. It has a hard toffee inside it.

I renewed my sack for 6 months. I love that it bills monthly and wish more subs did that. The June's sack theme is Survivor Sack to Celebrate Dads. The first spoiler is Vermont Smoke and Cure.

I love the Maple Scrub from the May Sack. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

June's sack arrived this past Monday. The theme: Father's Day Survival Sack.

IMG_0538.JPG

LifePac Survival Kit  - My younger son wants to open this in the worst way. This has a few different survival and first aid items. This is something I will take when hiking in the woods.

IMG_0539.JPG

McCrea's Highland Single Malt Scotch Caramels 2.4 oz  A gourmet treat for the man in your life.

IMG_0540.JPG

Joan's Healing Spice - I'll be trying this as a marinade later this month. It sounds delicious. It also smells familiar although I can't place why.

IMG_0551.JPG

Stonewall Kitchen Boozy Bacon Barbecue Sauce - I can see this being a big hit.

IMG_0543.JPG

Vermont Smoke and Cure Uncured Summer Sausage - My dog demands to know why I have not given this to her yet.

I think the selections fit the theme. It isn't my favorite because my husband isn't interested in most of the items. This is when  personal preferences come into play where mystery boxes can be a hit or a miss.  I'm looking forward to July's theme Summer Nights!

Wait do most subs not bill monthly? I thought that was the case.

And this reminds me! Have you heard of Eat Boutique boxes (originally just a blog)? If you like the sack you might like them, definietly check them out. Whenever I'm feeling northeast homesick I go for it, and its one of the most incredible artisanal food gift options as well. I love that like Kloverbox, you know its a gal doing it all by hand herself with love. She also puts on amazing food events with all the vendors with cookbook authors thrown in each year in Boston around the holidays and autumn.

@@vegmakeup4life I never heard of Eat Boutique. Thank you for letting me know. New England Sack is run by a woman too.

Most subs require you to pay the 6 months up front if you want the discounted 6 month price. To use Kloverbox as an example - I  have to pay $135.00 all at once for a 6 month sub discount. New England Sack is $195.00 for a 6 month sub. However, I pay that price down monthly instead of one lump payment up front. In other words, a person willing to commit to a 6 month monthly payment to NES will pay $32.50 monthly instead of the monthly payment of $35.00. This is done through PayPal. I hope that makes sense.
