So, I've been trying to find a good, relatively inexpensive moisturizer for my face. I don't usually have any kind of skin problems, but I always incorporate a moisturizer into my skin care routine. But every moisturizer I've tried makes my face red. Does anyone else have this problem? Is it just the moisturizers I've been using and is there some other kind that won't make my whole face red?

A moisturizer shouldn't make skin turn read. Your skin might be sensitive and reacting to something in the moisturizers that you have tried. Have you tried using moisturizers made for sensitive skin?

Well I've tried the Simple brand and Say Yes to Cucumbers moisturizers most, since they've had a less severe reaction, but I haven't tried anything that specifically said it was for sensitive skin. Is there a specific one you could recommend?

Clinique is great. Neutrogena, Boots, Burt's Bees and Nuxe have great moisturizers as well. I've used both Clinique and Nuxe as well as Boots with no issues. Maybe see if you can get a sample to try and go from there. Also Korean skin care products are great.

Have you looked at the ingredients of all the moisturizers you have used?  There must be a common one and that is what might be the culprit.  It takes time but it might be worthwhile.

I use Monsia Skincare, I tend to stick to one product line for cleanser, toner, day moisturizer and night cream.  I used to use a whole range of different products but remembered what a friend of mine said, one product line works together whilst different product lines might not.  What she meant was e.g. Cleaner & toner, one brand, moisturiser, another brand and night cream another brand. Hope this makes sense.

My go to moisturizer is Olay day moisturizer with spf. It's cheap and usually on sale bogo at drug stores. I like it because it is really lightweight and it makes my face feel nice and soft.

Facial Steamer Steaming Device would be another choice if all the moisturizer you used make you face turned red.

I personally choose Dermaxol moisturizer of Solvaderm's brand. Its a cream great for all skin types, fast absorbing. Also it reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Your skin will be soft and smooth after using this. It is a medical grade product with integrative approach. Its safe to use on skin.

Hi...

May be you have sensitive skin . So you  should  take  care of your skin, Choose non-alcoholic and odorless moisturizers.

Hey, if your skin turns red after using moisturiser, then might be your skin is sensitive or another reason may be that the moisturiser you are using contains some harsh chemicals like paraben, mineral oils etc. My younger sister was troubled with the same problem, now listening to you it seems to me that history is repeating itself. One of her friend suggested her to use Aroma Magic almond moisturising lotion. It is 100% natural, contains natural extracts of almond fruit and lotus leaf. She has been using this for a long time and no complains now with her skin. I would suggest you to try it once and it is only about $14.99. Feel free to ask anything.
