Tomorrow I have my first big job for a wedding and I'm super nervous. I have to do 6 girls and they're coming over at 8 AM. The wedding is at 1. I'm not very confident with my speed quite yet as I'm just getting started with freelancing. I was just wondering if any of you have any tips for being a little bit faster? I did a few of my friends makeup for prom and I struggled with the time so I'm worried that will happen again and I really don't want to run late for a wedding.

This is a bit late...

How did your wedding go?

For something as important as a wedding, I would hire an assistant to make my job easier and faster.

If you decide to do a large wedding group by yourself, the bride will see you looking rushed and in her head she will think, "Will this MuA do a great job on me, being rushed like that?"

Your results will make or break the wedding portion of your make-up career.

As for the general answer to your question... "How to make things go a little bit faster?" Cutting the chit-chat to a minimum will definitely make your work go faster.

HTH

Good luck.

Thanks for the advice! The wedding went great. I did the bride first because she had some errands to do, so I was able to focus on the other girls without feeling too rushed. She was very happy with the outcome. :)
