Hi!

Moved this to the skin care forum from the how-to technical forum.

If you are going to spend more time in the sun other than just your normal running errands etc, then you should apply sunscreen separately in addition to using cosmetics with sunscreen.

Hello..

Anybody can tell me. In case I use beauty care products with sunscreen, do in spite of all that I have to apply sunscreen autonomously?
I use Monsia Skincare intense moisturizing day cream that has SPF15 and Boots #7 Foundation Match Made Service which also has SPF15 but if I know I am going to be outside for long periods in the sun I also use a sunscreen with at least SPF30 protection.

I have been loving the Supergoop facial mist with sunscreen that I got in my PopSugar Must Have Box. I live on an island, and go to the beach a lot and that has become a necessity! It helps make a face look matte (which is great when your face is all gross from the hot sun), and has lots of SPF in it!

definitely apply some sunscreen if you are going to be exposed to the sun for a long period and if you have light/sensitive skin. it's never too much protection ;) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Unfortunately the sunscreen in makeup is not as effective as regular sunscreen. For the sunscreen in makeup to be as effective as regular sunscreen you would need to apply A LOT of it. Usually makeup sunscreen is under 10 SPF and you really should have at least 15 SPF everyday and 30 SPF when you are going to be outside (rather its raining, sunny, cloudy, snowing etc) for a longer time.

I had this question in esthetics school, because I always thought makeup sunscreen was enough. But unfortunately you have to take that extra step to ensure the protection of your skin!
