I purchased a few NARS blushes several years ago and over time the outside of the compact has become really grubby and sticky, even to touch. Has anyone else experienced this and what have you done about it?

I haven't experienced any stickiness, but the outside of my Orgasm blush has become super grubby.  Honestly, I haven't done much to try to fix it.  I bet a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser would work well on it.

All I can say is don't use alcohol, I remember a video by pinksofoxy where she was complaining that while it made it look cleaner, it made the rubbery part go away so hers were all smooth and shiny in places and it looked even worse.

That's because NARS uses a rubber compound for their packaging for gripping purposes. And just like rubber yoga mats and gun handles, over time the rubber attracts dirt, dust, grit and grime making the packaging grubby and sticky to the touch.

I just spritz a few sprays of a brush cleaner or Windex on my NARS compacts, scrub with paper towel, then rinse the residue off with running water, then dry. Viola! the compact will look brand new. Alcohol will destroy the rubber finish over time so don't use that!

yea i have this issue, i ended up depotting some of my nars blushers

especially the older ones. I heard from the BA the newer ones won't have as much such issue with the older ones i got as i think they changed a bit of the material which they use in making the packaging
