Hi

I'm so frustrated! i can't seem to find a good moisturiser or makeup for my skin! primers arn't not good either.

I have combination/oily skin, sensitive, eczema prone and acne type of skin.I have tried drugstore all the way to high end but i can't seem to find anything good to stick too. Any recommendations from people who has got my type of skin?? Also,it doesnt matter how much product i use,i always look cakey!

The key is some good skincare products at first.

try a mask for acne prone and oily skin which has saved my life (lemon and aspirin- pure salycilic acid)

then try rose water for a more natural face toner.

you can use clay masks 2 times a week only (green argile)

also you can try a mask with turmeric powder (this i havent tried but its very famous)

the must have moisturiser for me its by korres pomegranate moisturiser for combo oily skin type

dont put silicone primers it clogs pores.

hmm what else? for foundation i prefer NOTHING hehe but if you want to try something its ny catrice(german brand) and its called photo finish foundation.its gives a natural look.

remember when you put foundation you have to put thin layers and then add a second thin layer etc to give as coverage as u want.

but i prefer a thin layer of a medium foundation and then cover the spots with concealer and a small brush.

kisses.

Hi!

You want to make sure you use a moisturizer that is moisturizing enough. Sometimes combo/oily skin moisturizers can be too drying causing more issues with dryness/oiliness and makeup looking cakey. Have you tried Clarins line? They have an oil that is meant for combo/oily skin and it gets rave reviews. I've used it on and off for years and really like it. My skin is sensitive and used to be more oily but has changed as I've gotten older. You can use the oil as a night time moisturizer and for day time you can use 1-2 drops mixed with your moisturizer or you can apply 1-2 drops under your moisturizer. There are many other skin oils to try as well. Serums are great too to use under your moisturizer. Have you tried the Boots skin care line at Target? They have good products. Estee Lauder has anti-blemish skin products. Their serum for problem skin is really good as are all their serums and moisturizers.

I forgot to mention Korean skin care. I highly recommend trying some Korean skin care products. They seems to work so well. Sephora has some available now and many online stores as well. The Korean skin care section on MUT is worth checking out for more info on Korean skin care and where to purchase.

Yes i have tried the clairns moisturiser and i didn't like it,it dried me out because of my eczema =( i didnt think i could use oil on my face as my face is oily.I like in the UK so i dont have a target but we do have a shop called boots,do you mean their brand? i might have a look at the estee lauder range,i have their foundation and its good, jsut a shame with my skin =/

@@Hellokitty01 I find that the cakey look comes from dehydrated skin. You also might benefit from an AHA/BHA type of product (it exfoliates your skin without you needing to scrub or use a cleanser with a physical exfoliator like beads or walnut shells which can be irritating) to get rid of the flaky dead skin.

It's winter so you may actually be drier than you think.

Have you ever tried Korean skincare products? There's some really great skincare available for affordable prices if you're interested in branching out. If there's one thing I've learned, it's that some of this expensive, name brand skin care have worthless ingredients and cost waaay too much.

I think you should look carefully at ingredients lists and look for moisturizers that have glycerin (moisturizer), hyaluronic acid (or sodium hyaluonate - same thing- this is one of the best moisturizing ingredients) and aloe (especially for troubled skin because of it's anti-septic, wound healing, anti-bacterial properties).

Have you ever used CeraVe? They have some moisturizer options for excema and oily skin. I use their line and really, really like it but I have dry skin.

If you'd like to know more about skincare and oily/acne prone skin, I recommend reading www.fanserviced-b.com. Tracy has oily skin and has reviews of all sorts of products that have and haven't worked for her.

Yes I meant the brand Boots. Didn't realize you are in UK. Sometimes people with oily skin are afraid of oil but it can actually be good for an oily skin. It's worth trying samples if you can.

I have combo skin and I really love first aid beauty's repair cream! Very hydrating without being greasy. I also loved Clinique moisturizers, like the moisture surge and the dramatically different gel, but I needed something more emollient. I like those still for the summer though. Have you maybe tried putting on an oil under your moisturizer as well? I love Maracuja oil. Instead of buying the $50 tiny bottle from tarte, I buy a giant bottle from Amazon of pure Maracuja and go crazy haha
