Thoughts on Airbrush Systems?

Hello everyone, My name is Stephanie and I'm looking for some feedback on airbrush cosmetic systems.
 

Do you own an airbrush system? What system do you own? Do you exclusively use that brand of cosmetics in your airbrush system or do you switch it up? Have you had any issues, when you did switch brands?

I just recently purchased the Kett airbrush system and the trial size of their Hydro Foundations. I've not ever taken a professional class, but a long time ago I worked at Sephora when they first got the Temptu Air Pod system and played with it. I'm sure the application is very similar. Conceal then apply?

I'm looking to branch out in my makeup artistry and I thought airbrush was the way to go! I've been doing lots of reading on brands and I think I will be happy with my compressor and I think it has enough PSI to interchange between brands, but I haven't tried it personally and would love any feedback from anyone else who has!!!!

I'm also new to this forum...and have not done the introduction thingie because people didn't seem to reply well to the newbies. If you think I've posted this in a bad section, let me know.

Hi! Welcome to MUT! Sorry I don't have that much experience with airbrush systems other than I've used Luminess Air a few times and really liked it. Yes concealer goes first and then the spray foundation. Hope others can help you more with the airbrush systems.  /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20">

I love airbrushing and have the Kett system as well! I've taken Levels 1-3 of the Kett Airbrush classes and have learned so much. I've also been shadowing to help teach the airbrush classes for MUSEbeauty. I always learn the most from the MUSEbeauty.pro education team who supports Kett. I'm also the Lead Educator for a Makeup Program in San Diego, CA and we use Kett. 

The PSI is perfect if you are going to do beauty makeup and some special effects/body work. I absolutely love everything about the Kett system and know that you made an awesome decision.

Hey girl! Thanks for the reply! I'm getting the airbrush system as a Christmas present and haven't quite gotten to play with it yet! I'm super excited. That's super cool that you are an educator, one day I hope to get there!

Try Temptu !!

 

I use Temptu and it is great (compared to non-airbrush makeup, but I haven't tried any other airbrush system so I can't compare with others). I use Temptu pods exclusively, but just for the foundation. I use powder highlighter and blush on top. It requires careful application and waiting a while before applying the powder products, but I'm happy with the result.
