Well life was way less expensive before I decided to start using makeup and developed an obsession haha. I've spent so much money in the past couple of months! I've got everything I need, so I'm making myself go on this challenge. I hope I can succeed. I just need to get out of the habit of searching the Sephora and Ulta sites because all I do is find something really pretty and convince myself that I NEED to have it and next thing you know I've spent a ton of of money.

Have almost broken my no buy a few times over the past couple of days but I've stayed strong!

(I bought a really expensive Kate Spade Minnie Mouse clutch today though, but I'm not counting it since it's not makeup.  /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

It's so pretty and limited edition how could I resist?!)

Broke my no buy today.  /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> It was out of frustration! I called the Ulta near me this morning to ask if they had the Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette in stock and they said they did. When I got there I saw two girls on the check-out line carrying the peach palette (one of them had two  <_<  ) and when I went to the Too Faced section they were all out! I asked an employee and she said that if there weren't any out on display then they were completely out. So I broke down and bought one on ebay for $78....   At least I got free shipping.

I haven't been on makeuptalk in a while, but I wanted to come on since I'm desperately trying to do a no-buy.  I did purchase a couple things (before I decided to absolutely buy nothing for at least the next month).  It's part needing to budget better and pay off debts and part just having plenty of makeup and not really needing anything.  One of the things I did buy during the Ulta sale was 2 Urban Decay 27/4 liners that are pretty low and I use on a regular basis.  I will allow myself to buy things like that when there is going to be money saved (everyday items that I am running out of), but I do not need blush, lipstick, eyeshadow, bronzer...some of these take forever for me to get through.

welcome back @@mjkdior713 and thanks for joining in on the no buy! No buy is tough but doing it with others helps and makes it a bit easier. I had a slip up since Sephora is having their VIB discount but I'm back on track. I need to cut back on my subs too. I know I keep saying that but really need to take action instead of saying it. :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20">

I broke my no-buy a bunch of times after getting the Sweet Peach Palettee ugh. But I'm going to try and get back on track. I really don't need to buy anything else. I canceled my Boxycharm sub because I didn't like the April box and I don't think I'll re-sub next month. I did sub to the Sephora box though. At least it's cheaper than Boxycharm? I think I have two or three months left of my Glossybox sub and unless I get a new job where I make a lot of money, I don't think I'll renew.

I'm making myself promise that I'll only buy something new if I use up a product and need a replacement. I've found that making a wish list really helps because it makes me feel like I'll get the stuff I want eventually but I don't need it right now. I'm just addicted to looking at makeup, so I let myself make a list of stuff I want so I can still indulge in looking at pretty products, but I just look instead of buying.

I broke mine too during the Sephora event and then I got an email from Sephora about their 500 point Dior gift and ordered again.    I also subbed to the Sephora Play but luckily is not as expensive as some other subs. I'm back on track now too and will not buy anything other than if I need to replace something.
