Hello everyone, I'm new here and I desperately need help.

I am extremely pale and I still can't find a foundation/BB cream pale enough. I'm a student so my budget will stretch although not that much. As of now I have tried every single drugstore foundation and none of them have been pale enough.

  • I have slight acne but I have a decent concealer so coverage isn't a major issue for me
  • I have redness in my skin so although I am porcelain, I can't have anything with a strong pink undertone
  • My skin has been more oily recently, however it is usually just normal so I don't need a formula specifically for dry or oily skin. I will say that I have found mineral foundations don't look right on my skin because of what I like to call.. 'face fluff'
  • Just for reference, Bobbi Brown Long Wear Foundation in Alabaster is too dark on my skin, in the daylight it looks orange and compared to my paper white neck, no amount of blending could fix this
  • At the moment I mix my every day foundation with a white foundation, however the formula of the white foundation is not good and it makes my normal foundation very difficult to blend, this just means I'd hate to shell out lots of money for a high end white foundation and it to mix badly with the foundations I already own
  • My skin is not sensitive and I haven't ever had a bad reaction to anything so I'm fine with that.
I live in the UK and not in a city, so the best I can get is a Debenhams, eg the nearest MAC counter is 40 minutes away. This means that I'd probably have to purchase it online, but this isn't much of a problem for me.

If requested, I could post a photo of my bare neck in daylight just so you guys have a good idea of what we're dealing with  :laughno:

I'd really appreciate any suggestions,

Kerry.

Hey Kerry,

Since you're based in the UK, I suggest trying Face to Face from Makeup International. They are a UK company based in London, (Yeah I know you don't live near there, but  their shipping is very fast) I live in Canada and it takes about 4-5 days to get product from them via Royal Mail. So I can imagine it's twice as fast within the UK.

At any rate, check out their site for the shade you're looking for. Based on your description, I am guessing you're looking for a neutral based foundation, (blue undertone), as opposed to a yellow (warm) or pink (cool) undertone. Yes there are cool yellow and warm pink undertone foundations as well, but again, based on your description, those too will go orange on you as well.

Here's their site: http://www.make-upinternational.com/categories.aspx
