I am super curious to see what everyone's skin care routine is involving K-Beauty products. It seems like a TON of work, but worth it? Do you go through your entire routine every morning AND night. I can't imagine doing a face mask twice a day.

Any products that are an absolute must? I have combo skin which is terrible. Oily through the T zone, everything else is dry as a bone!!! I am afraid of using moisturizer though as I have acne prone skin.

Looking forward to your responses!

I don't have the time or the patience to do a full K-beauty routine lol so I just include K-beauty products in my regular routine depending on how much time I have. I usually use a K-beauty toner, essence, serum and then a regular moisturizer (non-Kbeauty sometimes K-beauty. I love the Missha Time Revolution Toner and essence. I use different K-beauty serums, toners and essences too, usually whatever I have from K-beauty sub boxes on hand. I don't do a sheet mask every day. I'm lucky to use one once a week. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20"> Without doing a full K-beauty routine, my skin has changed so much just from using K-beauty products. I highly recommend trying some even if you don't commit to a full K-beauty routine. I think the essences and the serums are a must. Sometimes I'll use all mainstream products but add an essence and serum from K-beauty brands. The days I don't use any K-beauty products, I see the difference in my skin right away. Just the way it looks and feels is so much better the days I use K-beauty products. Brands like Missha, Goodal, Banila, Benton are great. I have a combo skin too and my skin is less oily from using K-beauty brands and just overall healthier looking.

Thank you for the ideas!

I don't do the full K beauty routine either, but I do a number of the steps, because my face is so dry, I mean bone dry. This has helped tremendously and I have noticed a huge difference in my skin, it's very moisturized and my large pores have reduced. So the extra time I take it certainly has been worth it for me.

For cleaning my face, I do a 3 step process. I use a facial cleansing cloth, then I use a cleansing balm like Clean it Zero, then a foaming cleanser. Right now I'm using the Foreo as it came in my Allure box, but I switch cleansers frequently. I do this in the evening only, for the morning I just use a cleansing balm.

For both morning and night, I start with a toner, right now I am using Scinic All day fine pore toner, then an essence, then I'm using Mizon Original Skin Energy Hyaluronic acid as a serum, then an emulsion, and then a cream such as Mizon all in one snail repair cream. I then use a sunscreen during the day prior to applying my makeup.

My toner, essence and emulsion I frequently change up, depending on what I get in my kbeauty subs or something I see I want to try. But the two Mizon products are my holy grail, as nothing else has helped my dry skin issues as these two. I use face mask about 3 or 4 times a week.

I agree with Reija, you can start out by using a few products targeted towards your skin tone and see what works for you. Good luck!

Thank you! I ordered a few things this weekend to try. The few K Beauty items I had I have been using and I can't believe the difference they have made. I usually stay away form moisturizers because my skin gets so oily, so I was nervous about using so much.

I only have one beauty practice that does it all for my skin and hair. I follow that good 'ol saying: "An apple a day keeps the doctor away." LOLS   Oh well seems like that but not really coz it was a practice handed down to me by my oldies:

"A spoonful of apple cider vinegar for that radiant skin and glorious hair." ;) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Good day everyone! My name is Lawrence Cris Joy. Im very concious in my skin. I hope i can know more about skin routines.

Well for skin care. I only use mineral makeup. You can sleep as well without taking off your makeup. I suggest you to stop using regular makeup.

I am Thai girl. I have a combo skin too, but I don't do the full K beauty routine. I only use cushion everyday because it is very easy to wear makeup and quick too. But, I think, it is not suitable to oily skin. Other step, I use milk cleansing because it is gentle to my skin.

One thing I realised is that only steps are too much but time wise its not. You will get used to things pretty soon.

I do 8 steps every night, masks once a week and exfoliate twice a week.

Things like essence, toner, serum takes fraction of seconds each. For morning I just do a normal face wash with a foam based cleanser.

Not sure if this is a good advice, to sleep with your makeup on.. Yeah, mineral makeup is so much better than regular, but you shouldn't sleep with it on your face, no matter how much is great..

Yeah the 12 step skincare is just too much for me!  The products are definitely worth checking out though.  I especially like the Mizon Snail skincare line.  I did a review on my favorites (the Snail Recovery Gel Cream and the Black Snail Cream) on my new YouTube channel if you're interested in hearing more!

I want to do the 10 step, I went to sokoglam and got the idea, when I can afford it I will do the full 10 step.  For now I am just doing 1 part of it and I am happy with the results.

I've found that I get amazing results even though I don't do the 10 step process. I even mix my regular products with Korean beauty products and my skin is so much better.

I can already see great results with the one I am using right now. My hubby let me order 4 more products the other day so I will report on those when I get them!  I am super excited

I don't do the full routine either. For me , mask twice a day is too much. I think use mask 2-3times a week is good enough. I also use korea toner and serum. It all depends on what I need for you skin. So I thinks you don't have to insist on doing the full routine. Just use what you need.

I've been using a Korean toner and serum too and just a regular cleanser and moisturizer. I do a mask and a Korean sugar scrub 1-3 times a week.

Hi @@jmaddensgirl,

As I wrote on skincare routine rules post (link removed), there are 4 major steps to accomplish a beautiful and healthy skin:

  1. makeup removing
  2. toning
  3. exfoliation
  4. moisturizing and protecting

My Skin Care Routine

Step 1 | Cleanse – Massage pea-sized amount of anti-aging cleansing gel into a dampened face for 30 seconds; rinse with warm water, pat dry.

Step 2 | Tone – Saturate a cotton ball with Alcohol-free toner and swipe cotton ball across the entire face, excluding eyelids and lips.

Step 3 | Moisturize – Gently apply anti-aging eye cream to under eye area.

Step 4 | Protect with SPF – Apply EltaMD UV clear SPF 46  to entire face, neck, and décolletage.

Step 5 | Lip Care – Apply Smith's minted rose lip balm to lips.

Here's a rundown of my current skin care routine:

Morning Routine

-Ultra Gentle Cleanser by Face Reality: Face Reality is a Bay Area acne clinic that my esthetician uses.
-Salicylic Toner by Face Reality
-Manyo Factory Galactomyces Niacin Special Treatment Essence: Galactomyces ferment filtrate is the main ingredient in SK-II's Facial Treatment Essence.
-Mizon Snail Recovery Gel Cream: This moisturizer is perfect for oily skin. It's light and not greasy at all.
-Bioré UV Rich Watery Essence: My HG sunscreen
-Makeup

Evening Routine

-Ultra Gentle Cleanser by Face Reality
-8% Mandelic Acid Serum by Face Reality: Mandelic acid fixed my acne problem!
-5% Benzyl Peroxide + Sulfur by Face Reality: Used to spot treat pimples.
-Manyo Factory Galactomyces Niacin Special Treatment Essence
-Stratia Liquid Gold: Stratia is an indie skin care company based out of Southern California. I credit this ceramide product with repairing my skin’s moisture barrier (also known as the stratum corneum).
-Mizon Snail Recovery Gel Cream

While this seems like a lot, it really doesn't take that long. In the morning, I can finish my routine in less than 10 minutes. At night, I usually apply products and do other things in between (like brush my teeth). I've definitely seen an improvement in my skin since starting this routine a year ago.

Hope this helps!
