Ok so I need some help with my skin. It's pretty normal but sensitive. I do have some hormonal acne as per usual but I need help with the texture of my skin. I use a clarasonic and moisturize morning and night but the texture of my skin is awful. What can I do?

Is the clarisonic perhaps too strong of an exfoliator for your skin?  Also, is the  moisturizer and the acne wash actually working or could they be harming your skin and your skin having a reaction?  Do you do face masks, cleansers, toners, etc?

I agree about the Clarisonic. It might be too strong for daily cleansing. Maybe try cleansing once a day only at night to remove makeup and impurities but only use water, toner and a moisturizer in the morning. Over cleansing can cause so many skin problems with dryness, texture etc. Also your moisturizer might not be strong enough. You might need to get a different moisturizer or use a serum under the moisturizer for an extra layer of moisture and protection.

I can definitely try to stop using my clarisonic to see if that helps. I just got the Marcos Bedescu chamomile night cream and I feel like it does really do the job. I tried a serum about three weeks ago and it broke my face out terribly. So I don't know a good one to use. Also I haven't got on the toner train so I don't know what is good to use there either :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Mario Badescu is a good brand. They have great toners too. I would definitely use a toner because they are designed to correct your skin PH after cleansing.

Try the cosmetics with:

  • Retinol
  • Chitosan
  • particles of nano gold and silver
These substances refine the skin texture and are perfect for acne skin  :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I have mix feelings about the Clarisonic, I still use it but not as much as I did at the start because I have noticed that it sort of makes my skin break. I would suggest first watching the food your eating, make sure you're eating lots of fruits and veggies, then consider getting a professional facial and treatment for your skin. Here in London I go to Nuriss, they have several different facial treatments and they do help, A LOT. Just look for an awesome place like this in your home town.

Have you tried Younique cleansers and moisturizer? They contain only natural ingredients.

Illuminate Clear Face Wash for oily skin - made with garden chrysanthemum, aloe vera, licorice root.

OR

Illuminate Clean Face Wash for Normal/Dry skin - made with horse chestnut, ginkgo biloba and super leaf extracts

AND

Divine Daily Moisturizer - suitable for all skin types. This product delivers hydration, and never feels greasy!  :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I also would be inclined to suggest you some BHA's. They help clear out skin by increasing regeneration rates and exfoliating the pores from the inside out, like magic.
