Last year I made the worst decision of getting my hair layered. It still hasnt grown out and I dont know what to do with it. It just looks really badly done and nasty. I'm wondering, can the shortest pieces of my hair catch up to the longest naturally or do I have to cut a bit of my hair off? I dont really want to cut my hair so do you guys think my layers will ever grow out?

Here's a picture of my layers and the red shows where the my shortest layer and my longest layer.

I think your hair is pretty! If you wanted to make the layers maybe less obvious if you don't like them , then cutting some of the longer hair shorter to be at the level of the shorter layers would make it so that all the layers would grow out at the same time. I've cut my hair too short before and my layers too so I know it's a real pain to grow them out. Getting a cut that you are happy with in the meantime helps with the growing out process.

Thank you very much :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> and I'm thinking of growing my hair out a bit more and maybe wait a year. I really want non layered, straight cut hair so if the layers still look bad then I'll think about cutting the longest pieces of hair shorter
