Wave irons - are some better than others?

I want one that's easy to use first and foremost, and have a preference for loose waves, that aren't too angular (from googling photos a lot of wave irons seem to create quite angular waves). Does anyone have any recommendations or any tips on any I should steer clear of?

I use Diva Glamoriser Variable Depth Waver, and I love it, it is so easy to use, and I love its design.. /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I have dead straight short hair but I use the Karmin Salon Series 1" straightener but. I use it to curl my hair and I tend to curl it fairly tight then run my fingers through to loosen the curls. Remember to use a heat protectant prior to heat styling.
