Not really a sub box, but Clarins has a booster box out. It's $38 and available on their site. Has anyone bought it or considering buying it? I'm passing on it only because I have so many products right now but wanted to pass on the info in case someone is interested.

This is very interesting. I saw on the UK Clarins site that they have a beauty box program over there; looks like it consists of periodic boxes available on a non subscription basis. It looks like a nice program. Comparing the US site and the UK site, it looks like this may be the box from the UK program. Yes I may buy one - and then you get to pick three samples on top of that with the purchase. They have some nice cleanser and toner samples.

Clarins France also shows the box program. There was previously an Earth box, and they promise a surprise box for end of year. Let's hope this is coming to the US now!

I've done some more research on this. It looks like this is a continuance of the Clarins box that has been available in France since January 2015, which I am envious of. I looked through some French blogs and unboxing videos to see what some past boxes had. They were nice.

The US site now has two boxes - the Earth Box and the Booster Box. As far as I can tell, the Earth Box was the first one to be released in the US. I ordered the Earth Box - I will have it this Friday.

Pros

  1. Clarins promises everything is organized into beauty routines, not just random samples that may not go together
  2. Sometimes contained goodies from other brands besides Clarins as well [nail polish, hair oil, tea]
  3. Well curated
  4. No need to subscribe or wait for shipping cycle - just buy when you want
  5. Comes with extra free samples of one's choice

Cons

  1. Sizes are deluxe travel - 0.5 to 1.7 oz in general.
  2. Price is a little high
  3. Sometimes repeat products

Will continue to investigate. Maybe this will be the box of my dreams. I am tired of playing the field and want to be happily married to one beauty box only.  :luv:

ooh sounds amazing @Edith32! Thank you so much for the info! I would love this box too and would happily drop some others for it. Fingers crossed it will be available here too. I must have missed the Earth box. I'll take a look. How exciting that you are getting it though!

One week later and I have received the Clarins Earth box. It is quite good. I will review it:

1. The box contained a cleansing mitt of very good quality. This actually retails for $17.00 separately on the Clarins site. It has a soft terry cloth side to use with cleansers and masques, and a smooth side for using toners and eye makeup removers. It's really nice.

2. A 1.4 ounce Gentle Foaming Cleanser. This seems like a generous size, because the product is very rich, and you only need a small amount. The tube advises to rinse with cool water in the morning and warm water in the evening, a really lovely tip.

3. A one ounce Relax Bath and Shower Concentrate with Essential Oils. This is really lovely and though it's a little bottle, you only need a little bit, so it is lasting me well. It comes with a dispenser that only lets a little product out at a time, and the formula is quite thick.

4. A one ounce Instant Eye Makeup Remover. I have not tried this yet, as I actually do not wear makeup that often. It has ingredients that condition the lashes.

5. Two creams, which come in the white and red Clarins boxes with those wonderful descriptive leaflets in every language. The day cream is called Hydra-Essential and is for normal to dry skin. The leaflet states that it contains yet another one of those miraculous plants that beauty companies are always discovering (I always get a kick out of these), this time, the Life of Life, which always retains water despite the heat of the Madagascar sun, because the plant has molecules that are like sponges.

The night cream is a 0.5 ounce Multi-Active Night Cream. It is for normal to combination skin and targets fine lines. The leaflet says this creams helps the face recover from short nights and interrupted sleep with Organic California Poppy Extract, a flower that closes at night to regenerate itself. There is also a plant called "Venus Basin", which collects water in its curved leaves. Apparently, in Antiquity, this was used as a beauty water.

I have been using the box for a few days and my skin feels nice. And I am inspired with lovely daydreams of a beautiful garden with all of these miracle plants, and going out at night and collecting them to make my own beauty waters.
There's a really nice beauty book available on the Clarins site, for $12.00, by Dr. Olivier Courtin-Clarins. It's called, "Doctor, I want to be the fairest of them all!" It looks like it is very good and adorably illustrated. I may purchase that.

I bought it and really like it. It's a good read with beauty tips. I'm all into French beauty so I was all excited to get it. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20">
