I know folks who use acids and/or exfoliants before putting on make-up, but I think there are certain ways you have to do it. I know that after you apply a BHA and/or AHA, you should wait 30 minutes then moisturize. Then apply your make-up after your moisturizer has absorbed.

I think you'll find it absorbs much better when you use the water! Also, if Emu is too heavy for you to use prior to make-up application, you could continue to use it at night and use a lighter oil like Jojoba for pre-MMU moisturizing. Also, the type of Emu oil can make a difference. Let me know how it works with the water. And, seriously, you only need a couple of drops for your whole face when you use water!
