you might need to use a mixing medium (better than water) since it kind of adds a bit of stickiness to the eyeshadow and in a way help it to adhere better to your lids. also, the brush should be barely moist at most, the excess of water will turn the eyeshadow into a gooey consistency that is really hard to apply evenly on the skin. i learned that from my own mistakes. :P
