I use lavendars/purples, and I just got a Clinique called rose wine, it has a pale icy pink for the lid and a rose wine color for the crease and it looked great on me for a day look, I also use olive greens with a gold (warm) look to it seems to make my eyes pop.
I actually experiment with all colors, the 2 keys that a make up artist friend told me was, first whatever you do on one eye, do on the other evenif you don't like it, so that they balance and #2, BLEND, BLEND, BLEND
