Re: What's a good place to start?

I would start with the sample kits. Buying a full size without trying is pointless. I did that and I ended up with two full jars of foundation which I'll never use. Besides the brushes which came with the kit were just terrible. So I bought few synthetic brushes which I love and tried a lot of brands before finding my HG.

I started with everydayminerals. They offer free sample kit. It didn't work for me, but there is a lot of people who love this brand.

I would also recommend Lumiere, Aubrey Nicole and Meow, and if you look for good pigments try She Space or Mad Minerals.
