Thanks everyone. I wanted to give an update. He ended up getting her the red roses. He said that everyone else in the store were getting red, so that is what he did. She did seem to appreciate them from what he said.

I just wish I could be more of a friend and help him through all of this. But I know that this is something that they will need to work out. From what I understand, they want to try to make things work out (even though they know that they will probably never be in love with each other again) just for the kids. I don't know if that is the best thing or not, but I have to accept what they think is best for them.
