I understand that your situation is a bit different than merely trusting him in a romantic relationship since your pregnant with his child.
And, I assure you, I have had my issues with trust in relationships and in emotionally abusive relationships (never been physically abused).
The first thing to keep in mind that is sometimes difficult when you've been in an abusive relationship is that you ARE worthy of being loved PROPERLY.
Then try and think about this rationally (easier said than done
. . . what are your options here? :
1. Trust and possibly be hurt.
2. Not trust and be miserable worrying.
With option #2, you are guaranteed to be miserable. With option #1, it's possible you might be miserable but there's also a good chance you won't be!
I know that I've really broken it down into simplistic terms that are void of emotion however, you obviously aren't happy right now because you are asking for advice (which is PERFECTLY a-ok!) So, try something different! Go out on a limb, put it all out there, watch for signs of possible abuse and let him know you are worthy of his love and 100% dedication!
