they don't sell it at sephora, they sell it at a bobbi brown makeup counter which is in bloomingdales and nordstroms and i think macy's also has them but i don't have them in macy's around me (i live in southern california). you would just walk up to the counter and say something like "i was interested in your cream compact foundation, can you match my shade?" or something like that. most makeup artists are very nice and outgoing so it shouldn't be too difficult.
