There was an earthquake in Iceland this afternoon, 6,3 on the Richter scale. The earthquake started close to my old hometown Selfoss, where I was born and lived for 20 years. My parents and brother live there, but fortunately noone was seriously injured in these earthquakes. The houses are very strongly built here in Iceland so no houses were seriously damaged, but a lot of stuff fell down like tv's, shelves and such.
I live in Reykjavik which is about 60km away and was and work and felt the earthquake quite well, but nothing fell down or anything over here.
