Using a flocked/velour sponge to apply MMU?

Hi there- I'm the first to confess I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to MMU. I only buy from one website, www.lilylolo.co.uk, and mostly it's because of their eyeshadows, which are lovely and pigmented. I DID try a couple samples of concealer/foundation type deals, but I found that they just didn't give me the coverage I needed. My skintone is fairly uneven, especially around my forehead, and I'm prone to light outbreaks.

HOWEVER, my skin is pretty good atm (for me, I mean! ), so I was thinking about giving mineral foundation another shot. On the Lilylolo website, they sell flocked/velour sponges for about £3 a pop, which they say will give fuller coverage. Has anyone tried this type of thing? Did it work?

TIA for any opinions!
