Arrow Banana Bread & Pumpkin Spice Muffins

Hey ladies! I know that US recipes are usually a little bit different from Australian recipes, so I was wondering if you might be able to help me out?

I have 2 questions, one about a Pumkin Spice Muffins Recipe, and the other about banana bread.

ok!

PUMPKIN SPICE MUFFINS -
here is the link to the recipe on recipezaar: Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffins (Like Starbucks) Recipe | Recipezaar

It calls for 2 cups of pumpkin. In australia, the only way to buy pumpkin is in the vegetable/fruit section, or possibly canned, although I haven't bought it in a can, ever!

When they say 2 cups of pumpkin, do they basically want 2 cans (roughly 2 cups) of tinned pumpkin? The recipe doesn't say and I've never bought a can of pumkin before!

and question two!

BANANA BREAD
I'm looking for a recipe that has a piece of banana on the top that has been glazed with some kind of sweet syrup. When the bread is cooked the banana on the top gets all caramelized and delicious! I haven't seen a recipe with this bit in it. Do any of you fine MUT cooks have one lying around?

thanks in advance! I know I sound like a fool but I don't want to waste my time trying to cook something only to realise I've made it all wrong!
