I would have to go to their house and do a test run to see what the bride thinks. But I have never done anything like this! In fact I just started doing makeup..for people. So my questions were...if any of you ladies do makeup for formal events, what do you use? Also what do you charge? Plus any other info you can give would be tonsss of help!
Thanks Alot!

Hi Shorts22,
1) When are you to do the trial run?
2) You should find out if your makeup trial is for the bride only or for her and members of her party. The bride's makeup always costs the most. If you work on the bridal party, you can do corrective makeup, but the bride's makeup
must be perfect. Therefore you will spend the most time on her (an hour is more than reasonable).
3) If the bride has scars, blemish marks, etc... make sure you have a good concealer to cover them. I use Kryolan's DermaColor
4) Covering tatoos are priced separately. If the bride has them and wants coverage, your fee to cover them is not part of the price you will charge her to do her makeup. I charge $200 for makeup ($300 if I airbrush). The tatoos are $25.00 & up per tat.
5) Whatever makeup products you use, make sure they work well in photographic situations.
6) Try to use a waterproof mascara; good primers (face and eyes).
7) If the bride wants to bring photos of looks she has in mind, this is fine just as long as they are realistic versions of herself.
If you need any more help, please feel free to contact me.
Good luck.
