Washer Died Again!!

Posted 04-30-2008 at 08:10 PM by Karren_Hutton
Just got in the door and my wife hits me with "the washing machine quit again". Ohh goodie!!! Lol

Its probably 15 years old and so far I've rewired the control panel.... Actually taking a circuit board out of the system... And funny it still works fine without it?? Wonder what it was supposed to do? Lol. I also changed all the rubber stabilizers with homemade ones I made out of bungie cords... Look like crap but do a better job and don't break! Had issues with the water level indicators...

But today it was different.. The control knob wouldn't push in.... Or out.. So I ripped into it, don't even have screws on the control panel anymore! Now when I opened it up... Plastic pieces fell out.. Never a good sign. So I checked it over good and found that the whole control knob - timer mechanism had broken off from its holders on one side...

The other side had a metal clamp and a screw so I went out in the garage and found a piece of scrap metal and put it into the vice and beat it into an S shape... Drilled a hole on on end and grabbed a screw driver, my box of spare screws and some RTV... Luckily there was a hole in the frame and I found a self taping screw that fit close enough.. I screwed on the S clamp and added a daps of the RtV... Reinstalled the panel and it worked like a charm...

I keep trying to get her to buy a new dryer washer set but she won't.. The only nice thing about this one is its pretty simple to diagnose and repair myself.. And I fear the newer models ya have to be a computer tech to fix them... Ohh welll

I love to fix things.... Kind of a hobby... Not as much fun as makeup though.. Lol!!

Girl Watching

The wife and I were at the mall at noon and walking around looking at things for the son's BD.... And there were quite a few girls wearing dresses today... one had on this nice LBD (Little BROWN Dress) but had calf height grey boots that didn't go together at all.... Another one had on the sweet black shift dress with wide white trim on the hem, neck and sleves... and it was really really really short..... It was very classy.... I think she works at one of the large department stores....

Funny too this couple in front of us, he was pushing a stroller and she was walking slightly ahead of him..... When this really tall good looking girls in a short dress walked by the other way.... he did a double take that was so blatent that he almost lost control of the stoller and almost hit his wife... hahaha She didn't see him do that and he corrected the stroller just a second before he would have run her over... Bet she would have kicked his ass big time if she was looking.... "What the F#*@ are you lookin at??"

And walking around looking today I also notice a lot of girls checking out other girls... not the guys. They pretty much ignore the guys. which I find a bit amusing because I like to check out the girls too... but I don't check out guys at all.... Who cares what they are wearing!! Not me!!! hahaha I do love to girl watch.... just not for the same reasons most guys do.... Ok maybe a little of the same reasons but more enhanced reasons!!!

Damn she looks hot in that dress!!! Wonder where she bought it?
