So I've been interested in some Japanese drugstore makeup for a while, but I never got around to looking for them in LA. I've discovered a few stores that are Japanese drugstore makeup heaven! It's great going into them. A lot of brands have very nice packaging. I'm totally getting ripped off with these imported prices. It would be so much cheaper getting it online, but I like to walk around and look at things.
They had Lavshuca, Kanebo Kate, Kiss Me (but no Heroine Mascara! Boo!), Coffret D'or, Sony CP, and tons of other brands. I didn't see any Jill Stuart or Majolica Majorica. I was really hoping to see a Majolica Majorica palette like this one:

So pretty!
Oh well! I ended up getting Sana Pore putty Makeup Base, which is supposed to minimize the look of pores. And K-Palette 1 Day Tattoo Real Lasting Eyeliner. There was a tester there and I tried it on my hand. It has the staying power of MAC's Liquidlast without the crappy brush and gloopiness!
I also bought two Kose face washes to try out from a local Japanese market.
It's a good thing I've discovered these stores, 'cause I was beginning to get bored of MAC and their constant collections! They're really overdoing it! I don't even have time to pick up things from the permanent line anymore!
I really want to go to Japan and Korea because they seem to have the coolest makeup products and beauty advancements always seem to originate from there - eyelash extensions, digital perms!
I'm currently growing my hair out and hoping to get a digital perm when I have time.
