I used to keep a diary when I was younger but soon realised there was no point because my handwritting is awful and I hate having to actually write anything. So maybe I'll start writing to my mut blog more often. I don't have an Xanga or any website accounts where I can write a blog so I figured here's as good a place as any. I suspect no one will ever read this but if there is someone reading this then I can only hope that you won't think I'm completley mad

Anyway, it's sunny today. Great, you might think? No, not great. For someone as pale or paler than me the sun sucks. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I
like rain and snow but it does have it's positives. In the winter you can put on a big warm coat and get your shoes soggy by wandering through the snow. Reading that back I realise that that's probably not enough to convince anyone (not even myself) that winter sucks less than summer. Okay let's say why I hate summer. I woke up this morning and, after a not very good nights sleep and the thought in my head that I couldn't go anywhere because I had to wait inside to sign for a package that was being delivered, I looked out of the window. The sun hit me in the eyes and for a minute I was glad I had to stay home all day. I mean, I'm not a summery person at all and where I live in summer it's too cold to wear a strappy top and too sunny to wear t-shirt and jeans. So what do you wear? I dread strappy top weather. It's the time when all the tanned people use the tiniest bit of sun as an excuse to get their tanned arms out. If you saw how pale my arms are you'd understand why I'm not jumping for joy at strappy top weather (STW). STW also means reaching for the sun cream. Not to help with making your tan last longer and stop you from peeling but to stop you looking like a tomato. Then there's the dreaded hay fever which I've suffered from since I was about 12. Every summer is a pain. It's hard to appreciate the weather when your nose is streaming, your sneezing everywhere and your eyes are swollen like golf balls. STW also means that friends and family want to try out outdoor activities. As someone who's broke around 10 bones in their body and can trip over thin air outdoor activities are not my thing. So imagine how horrified I was when I got not one but TWO offers to go camping from two different sets of friends. There's only so many times you can refuse things like this although my excuse that my hay fever would probably kill me sitting near all those trees is probably true. Thankfully both offers were for the same weekend so I had to accept one group of friends offer to go to Scotland (we'll be staying in a hotel though, thank god!) and refuse the other offer to go to a campsite for the weekend and sleep in a two person tent with 6 people. I'm just glad that the offers where on the same weekend to be completley honest. I don't think I could have coped with 2 weekends camping. So that's why I hate summer. I think somewhere within that rambling there was a point
I like winter. I like the warm jumper and wandering around watching the snow fall. It doesn't snow enough where I live.
The whole Winter Versus Summer argument is like how some people are daytime people and some people are nightime people. For daytime people nightime brings darkness and quiet. For nightime people like me daytime sends that tiny bit of sunlight that finds the gap in your curtains and shines in your eye and wakes you up

So there's my 2nd blog entry. If I've made you think that I'm mad then I'm very sorry haha
