This Weekend

Posted 08-08-2008 at 04:58 AM by Anthea
I'm writing this as I mentioned to some girls here I was going out this weekend and I'd do a FOTD. I was getting quite excited about it as its been a while since I was out in girl mode.

Anyway, my sons camp was changed to just an overnight camp on Friday night, he is at camp right now (9.50PM Fri). My Mum is in Hospital having another stint put in her leg (something about the blockage in the arteries) I really do want to be about for her, so its a bit disappointing but family does come first.

Just wanted to explain why no FOTD from me this weekend.

Take care

Just a bit worried

Posted 01-31-2008 at 02:48 PM by Anthea
I took my Mum to the hospital early this morning, she is having an operation for a coroted artery in her neck which is 60 - 80% blocked as well as arteries in her legs too as she has poor circulation in her feet. I'm not very good at medical things so I hope I explained that correctly. Aparantly without the operation there is the probability of a stroke. Mum used to be a very heavy smoker, she gave up cold turkey about 4-5 years ago.

I'm just worried, fingers crossed and all will be fine.

My Mums Xmas present rant

Posted 01-25-2008 at 04:20 AM by Anthea
I bought a 51cm TV for my mum for Xmas, its a bedroom TV and she doesnt use it very much at all. She calls and its not working properly.

Went to her home today picked it up and took it back to the store which I purchased it from. Its a very large retail chain of stores. The TV cost a whole $150, not a lot of money for a medium size TV. They tell me it might take up to 4-6 weeks before I get it back. I say what??? Thats unacceptable, I want my money back, sorry cannot do they say, you have to allow us the option to repair it.

Now the numbers are ticking though my head. The TV sells for $150, they probably buy it for $70 or so dollars. It will cost them to send it away (they told me they are sending it away) it will cost them to get it back. They have to pay a someone to repair it plus any parts used. By the time they done all that it will cost them more to repair than the TV cost them. You think they would just give me a replacement. 4-6 weeks sucks.

Out on Saturday

Posted 01-17-2008 at 04:11 PM by Anthea
Being a part time T girl is not so easy, don't get to dress very often and don't get to practice my make up very often either, having a male face means I have to do a good job to make me look feminine. I am going out to a nightclub with friends on Saturday, I usually have something new to wear for such an event as I just love shopping for clothes, but with Xmas and the holidays I got to wear what I have, which is fine too as I get to wear something more than once lol.

Anyways I usually plan ahead as to what I'm wearing and this time I don't have a clue. I have a wardrobe full of clothes, drawers full of clothes and I can't work out what I will wear. Any of you have the same problem?

Did some practice experementing on Eye shadow late last night and was not happy with any of my looks, I hope I do a good job on Saturday, looking foward to it.

My holiday

Posted 01-05-2008 at 06:50 AM by Anthea
I arrived back from my week in Canberra with my son yesterday. It was a very boy week with no girl time as my son never sees me in girl mode.

Arrived canberra and set up our 5 star accomidation.

Took the pushbikes and after the heat of the day settled (it was really hot) we rode our pushbikes everywhere, during the day we took the car.

We went to Cockinton Green where there is a miniture village and steam train

Thats my son in the brown shirt in the forground.

We also went to the War Memorial spend all day there its so big. Did Questaqon an interative science exibit, The Australian Mint and was in the city for the new years eve fireworks. Also rode our push bikes to the top of Black Mountain.

Thats my son riding towards Parlement house. Its the big Stainless steel 4 pole flag pole you see in the distance, they built the building into the hill, very big impressive place. I was bad and took the pic while riding my pushbike. Canberra is very good for cycle ways.

And finally we went the Street Machine magazine Summernats. Its a big yearly event where many people with hotted up cars come together. I had been once before like 15-20 years ago.

This is a small 1970s Ford Escort with a supercharged 351cubic inch V8 at the burn out competition. How they fit such a big motor in such a small car amazes me. There were literally many hundereds of heavily modified cars at this event, mostly US and Australian cars. Its not my thing so much these days but my son simply loved it and he wants to go again next year. We went for 2 of the 4 days and I really had enough at the end of the first day lol

Drove home and my order of Mac had arrived and is was waiting for me in my PO box Yay Can't wait to have a play with it.

Hope you enjoyed a peek into my vacation.
