I arrived back from my week in Canberra with my son yesterday. It was a very boy week with no girl time as my son never sees me in girl mode.
Arrived canberra and set up our 5 star accomidation.
Took the pushbikes and after the heat of the day settled (it was really hot) we rode our pushbikes everywhere, during the day we took the car.
We went to Cockinton Green where there is a miniture village and steam train
Thats my son in the brown shirt in the forground.
We also went to the War Memorial spend all day there its so big. Did Questaqon an interative science exibit, The Australian Mint and was in the city for the new years eve fireworks. Also rode our push bikes to the top of Black Mountain.

Thats my son riding towards Parlement house. Its the big Stainless steel 4 pole flag pole you see in the distance, they built the building into the hill, very big impressive place. I was bad and took the pic while riding my pushbike. Canberra is very good for cycle ways.
And finally we went the Street Machine magazine Summernats. Its a big yearly event where many people with hotted up cars come together. I had been once before like 15-20 years ago.
This is a small 1970s Ford Escort with a supercharged 351cubic inch V8 at the burn out competition. How they fit such a big motor in such a small car amazes me. There were literally many hundereds of heavily modified cars at this event, mostly US and Australian cars. Its not my thing so much these days but my son simply loved it and he wants to go again next year. We went for 2 of the 4 days and I really had enough at the end of the first day lol
Drove home and my order of Mac had arrived and is was waiting for me in my PO box Yay

Can't wait to have a play with it.
Hope you enjoyed a peek into my vacation.
