So as of yesterday, I was told that salt is not my friend and its killing me...sorta. Anyway, I have been on a mission to find things that I can eat that arent filled with salt but boy is that hard!!!
I dont have anyone to talk to, so I figured I would blog about what I found and what I was shocked to not find:
tobasco sauce: low 40mg of sodium
lite fruit: no salt
dark chocolate: like 20 mgs of salt but contains flavanoids to reduce blood pressure
garlic
pasta has no sodium
I use olive oil on everything now
I can eat all the fruits and veggies I want, no salt though, i season by using herbs are lemon, or Mrs Dash.
Speaking of that hag, she;s my bff, otherwise i would be outside grazing on grass..thanks Mrs. Dash!!
What shocked me....SKIM milk was not any lower in sodium (not by much) than regular milk.
Went to the meat section....ground turkey was high in sodium as well as turkey bacon, turkey sausage, etc. Before I called the doc back, Richard told me to purchase nothing containing sodium (whatta assclown right?) sooooo I assumed, like an ass that the veggie mess is heathly right? WRONG! 800 mgs of sodium wtf its a veggie burger not a freaking hot pocket!
I found one good thing in all this: my baked chicken: 3 wings, 2tsp of minced garlic, onion, honey, and a little olive oil and tobasco sauce, i call it my "junk wings", lol
tomato, wheat bread and olive oil is good too!!
Its not that bad, it could be worse, unsalted nuts are horrible, unseasoned squash was bad, water tastes ok to me now, blood pressure was down 4 points in systolic

I can kill the high BP, lol
